We have a plywood wall behind the drywall in this room, so I was able to mount it securely. I purchased and installed a grommet so the cords won't show. I'm happy with this piece. That said, it has pre-drilled holes and comes with anchors and screws for drywall mounting, which we initially used. The next morning, with nothing on the shelves, it had pulled away from the wall and was about to fall off.
