The assembly instructions don’t tell you how to insert the gold pieces, so I’m sharing the trick here. You won’t be able to push in the gold pieces with your fingers and the holes will seem too small, but the pieces will fit - you have to use a mallet. Tilt the piece and use your mallet to gently tap in one edge of the piece so that it lodges crookedly in the hole. It is a beautiful table and well made, but the color is a cream. If you are looking for a pure white table, then this one is not for you. It was pretty easy to put together with the chairs taking the longest. There is a distinct line in the table where the leaf is stored. It’s not a total smooth surface. This is a beautiful looking dining set, heavy and well made. It was very well packed for shipping. Assembly is easy but time consuming. After attaching the table legs, two strong people are needed to get it upright because of the weight/size. Two of the chairs were wobbly but fine when sat on.
