If you install as is out of the box onto a flat ceiling, the screw is about 14” too long, and you realize that after it’s already screwed to the ceiling and we had attached the wires. These waterproof tiles have been a great purchase! We needed waterproof ceiling tiles and were not able to find them locally at the hardware stores. These are installed in a drop ceiling covering the ac unit to our unit. These tiles have been sturdy and held up to moving frequently to access the A/C unit for repairs and filter changes.
