I purchased this for my Kindergarten classroom. It is short for the age range of 5 and 6 year olds when they are standing. It was time to update my 20-month old daughter’s room. Now that she sleeps on a floor bed, we removed her crib and put a bookshelf and small couch (also from Wayfair) in its place! I took my time selecting a bookshelf, and I’m glad I did. Here’s why this one was a great choice for us it’s the right height for children aged 1-6 it holds about 25-30 board books it’s simple attractive and— most importantly— the shelves are *angled.* why is this important So your books don’t fall forward! I found very, very few bookshelves that actually have this feature. NOTE the slats are not very strong, and the assembly of the slats was time-consuming and relatively frustrating.. Carolyn.
