Favorite holiday movie: "Elf." Hands down. I love smiling. Smiling is my favorite!
Favorite holiday tradition: Spending Christmas Eve with my entire family. It's always a night full of such warmth, love, and laughter. I remember it being so magical as a kid to see my entire family together in such joy. The amazing thing is that 20-plus years later, it's still just as magical.
Favorite holiday decoration: Cliché I guess, but my favorite is our Christmas tree. There's nothing terribly special or sentimental about the decorations, but when it's all finished and the lights are turned on for the first time it makes my heart so happy. Seeing the twinkling lights through my daughter's eyes and sensing in her the same enchantment that was in me as a child is the best.
Favorite holiday treat: My favorite holiday recipe is my mom's date balls. They sound so strange, but are insanely delicious. My entire family fights over them until the very last one is gone! Luckily, my mom hides some for me in the freezer, but don't tell anyone!
Best gift you have ever received? My family will tell you that I get as excited as a toddler waiting to open gifts. No, really, I wake up at 5 a.m. on Christmas morning. My favorite gift is seeing the joy on everyone's faces while we're opening presents. I do have a handbag on my list this year though, so I hope my hubby reads this!
