Fixed Mount Shower Head Instructions
- Twist off the old shower head by hand or with anadjustable wrench.
- Use a sponge to scrub off the old Teflon tape (also called plumber's tape) and wipe the pipe clean.
- Wrap new Teflon tape around the end of the pipe covering the threads of the pipe.
- Place the new shower head on and screw it on using your hand.
- Then use the adjustable wrench to tighten, but don't over-tighten.
- Turn on the shower head and check for leaks.
- If there is leaking, try tightening the shower head more with the adjustable wrench or removing the shower head and adding more Teflon tape.
Adjustable and Hand-Held Shower Head Instructions
- Remove existing shower head and clean off old Teflon tape.
- Place the new shower head or hand-held base and screw it on by hand, similar to a fixed-mount shower head.
- Connect the flexible shower hose to the mount and to the hand-held shower.
- Tighten the connections by hand and place the hand-held shower in the mount.
- Turn on the water and check for leaks. For adjustable shower heads, move the shower head around to make sure there are no leaks using the full range of motion.
- If there is leaking, tighten the shower head and hose connection until there are no leaks, or remove the main shower head and add more Teflon tape.
