How would you describe your decor style?

I feel like my decor style is always evolving and changes as I get older,  but I would say eclectic.

What was your biggest decorating, renovation, or DIY failure?

I stenciled a wall once, and I hated it. I couldn't stand the colors, so I painted it over right away!

Editor's Note: It seems like Aniko got her stencil wall right here!

What was the inspiration is for your home?

I wanted our house to feel like home for us. With two little ones, I had to keep in mind that I am not only decorating to create a stylish look, but to create a functional space, as well.

On what items did you splurge vs. save?

I had been eyeing the leather sofa—which now sits in our living room—for a long time. The price tag was always the show stopper, but finally I decided to go for it. And we could not be happier with it. In general, I am bargain shopper and I save on pretty much everything!

What is your favorite room or space in the house?

My favorite room in the house right now is our living room. It's just a very cozy room with lots of layers and textures. And it's the room with my favorite sofa in it. It's perfect for family nights!

What do you hide when company comes over?

I always have lots of clutter on my kitchen island, so whenever someone comes I just hide everything in the drawers.
