This Halloween we are having a party! That's right, a Halloween party with ghosts, ghouls, goblins, and, of course, food! It wouldn't be a party at our house without yummy treats.
Before the party, we'll head out for some trick or treating with our two little peas. If your neighborhood is anything like ours, then your little ones will be coming home with their body weight in candy. It gives me a toothache just thinking about it!

Last Halloween I was overwhelmed with the amount of candy my little guy collected. So, I started thinking of ways I could try incorporating some of it into fun and creative treats.
I was inspired by a small pack of multicolored gummy worms and used them in a milkshake. I know what you're thinking: gummy worms in a milkshake? No thanks! Don't worry, there are no blended worms in this shake. I topped my milkshake with crushed chocolate cookies to look like dirt and stuck the worms inside the dirt. It looked like a scene straight out of our backyard, only this one tasted delicious. It was such a hit we decided to make it our annual Halloween milkshake tradition. This year I'm sharing it with you and all of our party guests!
This recipe is super easy and fun to make. It's even a treat the kids can help with. All you need is mint ice cream, milk, chocolate cookies, and gummy worms! Blend your ice cream and milk together, stick it in a big mug and top it with your crushed chocolate cookies and worms. I have yet to meet a child or adult who doesn't smile ear to ear when they see this dessert.
This fun Halloween shake can be whipped together in just minutes and is the perfect finale or prelude to your Halloween night! So give this creepy, spooky treat a try and you can brag to all of your friends and family that this Halloween you ate worms!
