Cabin-Inspired Hot Cocoa Bar

Celebrate the season with a wintry hot chocolate spread.

There's no such thing as too many toppings on this sugary-sweet hot cocoa bar—plus it's a fun way for everyone to customize their drinks with seasonal flair.

We opted for tried-and-true favorites: candy canes, marshmallows (big and small), mini chocolate chips, caramel sauce, whipped cream, wafer cookies, and cinnamon sticks.

Tip!
Lightweight camping mugs are a great choice for kids. They're easy to pick up and won't break if dropped!

Create a Fun Setup

Turn a bar cart or sideboard into a winter forest wonderland for the serving area; it makes hot chocolate feel like an extra-special treat.

First, trim evergreen branches from outside or your tree and tie them onto the front of the bar cart with floral wire. Then complete the look by stringing up homemade gold star and moon garlands.

Tip!
Pour items like caramel sauce and peppermint-flavored creamer into pretty jars and label with removable chalkboard stickers.

Serve in Style

On your bar cart or sideboard, set out a variety of cute serving pieces to complement the look. Clear jars and bowls display toppings so people can see all of their options, while a camping-style pitcher keeps the water piping hot.

DIY Stirring Spoons! Dip wooden spoons in melted chocolate and then top with deliciousness (crushed peppermint, chocolate chips, coconut) to create this adorable addition.
