Bailee Madison Gets a Glam Garage Hangout
We teamed up with designer Ryan Saghian to create a chic retreat for “The Good Witch” star.

In show business since she was only 2 weeks old, actress Bailee Madison, now 17, craved a space of her own away from the glare of the cameras. Designer Ryan Saghian took the call, transforming her empty garage into a youthful-yet-chic spot for the rising star to express her creativity in peace.
Bailee, how would you describe your style?
I’m 17, and my style is constantly evolving, but I’d like to think of it as chic, yet homey.
Ryan, how would you describe Bailee’s aesthetic?
She is far beyond her years, and so is her aesthetic! She wanted a glamorous, feminine, and playful space. We pulled that off with Mongolian fur, gold metallic tones, high contrast, and bold pattern.
How has your style changed over time?
My style has matured over the last few years, but my family has always encouraged me to embrace my creativity, and do whatever makes me feel most like myself. I love neutral tones and Ryan was able to capture my inspiration in the design elements.

What were your goals for this transformation?
Bailee: The goal was to create a quiet space to write and find time for myself, as well as to entertain those I love. After months of filming on location or long days of travel, being able to walk into my own space where I get to be me is the best feeling!
Ryan: My vision and goal was to make the space feminine and youthful, but with a sophisticated composition. I think we pulled it off perfectly.

What is your favorite part of your garage remodel?
Bailee: My favorite part of the garage remodel is the memories that are about to be made! I also love taking a moment to appreciate the transformation of a blank canvas and how Ryan turned it into a beautiful, inviting space. Thanks to Wayfair and my designer Ryan for seeing my vision!
Ryan: The little things like the quotes on the pillows and art. These make the space personal and touching.
What trend are you loving right now?
I love how Ryan incorporated faux fur to give the room an elegant, playful feel. The amazing part about this trend is that it’s budget-friendly, and the softness reflects my personality!

You are constantly in motion, starring in three movies this year alone, as well as filming your series The Good Witch . With so much going on, how important is having a space that’s tailored just to you?
My mind is always creating and dreaming, so having a beautiful space that is just mine allows me to embrace those ideas. With my “go-go-go” schedule, it’s amazing to have a space all to myself to slow down and reflect.

Ryan, what's your personal design philosophy?
Go against the odds and take risks!
It’s difficult to take any garage and turn it into a room, let alone a gorgeous hang out spot! Any tips on how our readers at home can achieve a similar look in their garages?
Ryan: You can transform any space. All you need is a vision, the desire to do so, and a paintbrush. Wayfair has everything for any space. Literally! I would just shop their roomovers!
