If you have 10 minutes, then we have 10 ways to get your dining room soiree-ready—simply using what you already have in your home. Read on to get our pros' tips and then get the party started!

1. Let the Music Move You
When hosting a dinner party, move your record player and albums into the dining room for easy access. You'll love the imperfect crackle of a record playing in the background while you and your guests dine. It's also a fun and interactive way for your guests to help choose the playlist for the evening.—Kendall Simmons, Kendall Simmons Interiors

2. Mix and Match
Search your kitchen cabinets for long forgotten plates and glasses. Create an eclectic tablescape by mixing patterned pieces with white plates to create a fresh splash of color.—Chris Roughan, Roughan Interiors

3. Washi Tape a Runner
DIY a runner by placing strips of gold or silver washi tape down the center of the table. Have fun with it by varying the widths between the strips. The best part is the it easily peels off so you can try another look tomorrow!—Wayfair Editors

4. Create a Pop-Up Bar
Break open that liquor cabinet and create a unique bar area on a sideboard. A tray from the kitchen or living room, old decanters, and fancy barware will make it feel special enough for any occasion.—Chris Roughan, Roughan Interiors

5. Get Creative with a Centerpiece Refresh
Change up your dining table centerpiece regularly, and especially when preparing for a party. Walk through your home and try to look at each accessory as if you've never seen it before. Do you have a collection of antique candlesticks on your mantle? Fill them with cream tapers and cluster them in the center of your dining table. Or maybe you have a some blue-and-white ginger jars in your living room that you could move to the dining table and fill with tall branches from your yard for an over the top statement.—Kendall Simmons, Kendall Simmons Interiors

6. Up Your Seating Game
For extra seating, bring a pair of wing chairs from your living room into your dining room and place them at the head of the table. This creates a grand atmosphere and looks sophisticated and chic.—Chris Roughan, Roughan Interiors

7. Minimize the Clutter
Always remember that less is more. Since your dining room will be filled with people, consider taking out a few items—extra chairs, side tables, or large decor items—to make moving around the space less cumbersome.—Wayfair Editors

8. Add New Artwork
Rethinking your artwork is a great way to turn your stuffy dining room into a less formal entertaining space. In the past, we've asked our clients for their children's artwork to frame for a unique focal point in the room.—Linc Thelen, Linc Thelen Design

9. Repurpose a Vase or Two
Clear glass flower vases in different sizes and shapes can be used as candle hurricanes down the center of the table or along a sideboard.—Chris Roughan, Roughan Interiors

10. Layer on the Style
Playing with texture can change the feel of a room very quickly. Try adding textures through pillows, throws, and rugs from other rooms to add depth, layers, and color.—Lindsay Bentis, Thread by Lindsay Bentis
