[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Me and my husband are redoing this house, very old, probably made in the mid 1950's So, we have a shower that had to be redone, now this is a old shower setting inside of it, so it has the old knobs, the ones that have the three valves for hot and cold water and the middle one to turn the shower on. But, as it got older, it started, I was there, taking a shower and as soon as my husband flushed the toilet and I screamed because the water temperature was scalding hot, so it happened to a few more people, so we just stopped using that, until now, we knew that it had to be fixed It was a very easy job for my husband to do. He only needed a few tools to get the job done. They recommend about 17 tools. He didn't have to do a lot of cutting to on the tile, and also, with these older homes, if someone was having a shower and toilet was flushed, the reason was that the cold water pressure would drop down but the pressure of the hot water would stay the same. With this wonderful product, this doesn't happen, say I was having a shower and someone flushed, it does not scald anyone any more, the pressure of the water stays the same now. It is made of steel and brass, and it comes with a limited lifetime warranty for 5 years. It turned out great and it works just like they said it would. A great product.

I called and talked to a representive because I had mistakenly made a purchase for a faucet I had already ordered a couple of weeks ago. I was trying to find what valve was needed because the plumber was ready to install. Usually it will suggest it, but this time the order just processed instead. My sink faucets suggested what was needed when I placed the order. Wayfair representive was very helpful. She canceled my mistake order and found the valve I needed for the shower faucet. She asked if I wanted to order then put my order through. We got it the next day. Thank you Wayfair. It helped keep our remodel on schedule. Will have to rate other purchases after they are installed.

Installed about 2.5 months ago. Installation was pretty straightforward, following the included instructions. Was replacing a 1993- vintage “builder grade” basic mixing valve. Two things to note: 1. The valve cartridge I got with it is opposite of every other shower valve I’ve ever used. This one is “turn handle clockwise” to turn the water on, going from cold to warm as you go. I’ve always had “turn CCW to turn on”. This threw me at first, when doing the first flush/leak test after the rough-in was complete. 2. The last step of the installation of the valve body is (after wall is finished) to use a utility knife to trim the plastic shield to be flush with the finished wall. The first step of the (separate) cartridge/trim kit install is to remove the plastic shield completely. Huh?? Glad I read ahead and didn’t waste my time trying to cut the thick plastic ring down!! After 2 1/2 months of daily use, we have no issues with water temp. The limiter is set to max allowed temp, and we find it a tiny bit too hot- but not hot enough to hurt. I suppose come summer, when the cold water is warmer, we may want to back it off a little more. So I’d say the limiter is working as intended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Kohler Falling Water 5/8" two-handle ceramic valve worked great once it was installed. It feels really solid and well-built, with quality brass and ceramic parts that should last a long time. It pairs perfectly with the wall-mount faucet setup and gives you smooth, separate control over hot and cold water. The flow rate is strong and consistent. Installation wasn’t super easy—definitely a medium level job. It took some time and precision, especially making sure everything lined up correctly in the wall. But with the right tools and patience (or a good plumber), it’s totally doable and worth the effort. Once it's in, it works beautifully and feels like a premium upgrade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is well built from my understanding it had a heavy weight to it when I looked at it myself before install. I should note that this probably cannot be installed by yourself as the instructions manual is hefty and you have to do work internally from the inside of your shower wall to install this, so it is best if you buy it for a new build or a complete bathroom reno in my opinion. The water control and temperature is much better than before using this with the Kohler shower head and temperature control, as my old system was stiff and would often switch from near boiling to almost freezing temperatures if you tapped it too hard, so this diverter has been a really nice change. The handle also turns smoother, but I’m not sure if it’s the diverter or temperature control changing it.

After having installed this product over a month a ago, I wanted to give this product some time to adjust to/learn my system to see what it was cable of. Everything seems to work great as far as the controller goes. I feel more secure when I leave my house that I can remotely shut off the main water supply and monitor my system. If your Controller is in the basement, like mine is, you will need a strong WiFi signal throughout your house to be able to use the functions. For Installation- Very easy for a DIY install if you have some basic plumbing knowledge. However, depending on your pipes and location needs, you might need to purchase the mounting bracket separately, not included with the product (not clearly indicated, "needed" or "sold separately"). Extremely upsetting to find out you need a special ordered bracket while in the middle of your install, thus leaving your water system in jeopardy (so heavy it could break your pipes and leaving you with "off measurements"). For the Application portion of this product it seems that some software updates need to be made. 1. Every time I receive a notification from the Grohe Ondus App the language is in German and cannot be changed or updated; I have checked all my settings on my phone and tablet. I have them connected to my Grohe system and can confirm both phone and tablet receive notifications in German only (It is not just a "my phone only" thing), despite selecting "English" during the initial set-up process. This isn't a deal breaker as when you open the actual application the notification is half english and half german, so at least you can gain an idea of what it's trying to tell you. However, had I paid for this system- I might be singing a different tune! 2. I did have a small water flow detected and possible leak (Ended up being the faucet wasn't turned off all the way-small drip). When opening the message in the app, there is a "Help" button for troubleshooting/locating the leak yourself. I love this feature! However, as mentioned above- the first paragraph is in English and the rest of the troubleshooting tips were in German. 3. The "gallons used per day" offered on the app can use some adjustment. The daily tally does not have a reset. For example, if you use ten gallons on day one, you will wake up on day two with "10 gallons used," (despite no water used yet) and your first gallon that day used will start at "11 total." It would be nice it the daily total reset to zero every 24 hours and perhaps offered a different tally of "lifetime use" simultaneously. 4. Another complaint is that once you select "mark as read" on a message in the app, that message will disappear and will be gone forever as there are no archives for messages and you will be never be able to refer back to them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this Grohe leak detection device about 1 month back and just installed it in the leak tray under my Granny Unit water heater. This water heater is inside the apartment behind closed doors and it has no way of draining to the outside. Therefore, in order to detect a leak before the leak tray overflowed and ruined the flooring, I needed both a local audible alarm for the tenant to hear and a digital alarm sent to my cell phone as soon as water from a leak was detected. This beautiful sensor does both of those things and I could not be happier. It was easy to setup and activate, ties into my local network, is battery operated (with built in battery life sensor) and is looking for any leak on a 24/7 basis, allowing me time to react quickly and fix the problem before incurring any damage to the apartment or my tenants furnishings. It's great and I highly recommend it. Much better than the one I got from the local hardware store that alarms locally only, which is only good if my tenants are home, know where the alarm is coming from and can remember why. Definitely be buying a few more of these for my own home and my mountain cabin that I stay in only occasionally.

As a licensed contractor who sometimes does his own plumbing, I have to say this simple, efficient high quality rough in valve is my go-to for all remodel and new build jobs. It's heavy duty and well engineered, can be upgraded in the future and looks great with the trim colors and models that you or your customer desire. Great product! Thank you Hansgrohe!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hamilton Beach 10 Quart Slow Cooker I just obtained my Hamilton Beach 10 Quart Slow Cooker and so far I really love it. An appeal in getting it is the extra large capacity that can handle ribs, large beef or pork roasts, and even a miss size turkey or large turkey breast. In cool weather I like to prepare a large pot of homemade vegetable beef soup that I can enjoy it for several days and then freeze the rest for later. This cooker will make that soup preparation even easier. In addition to high and low cook settings, it also has a warm setting which is great for serving from the slow cooker for family gatherings or parties. The removable stoneware crock and glass lid make clean up fast and easy as they can be cleaned in the dishwasher. This slow cooker has a nice modern contemporary appearance that looks nice when out in use or if it is stored in view o a counter or open shelf in the kitchen. I would highly recommend this product for use in your home. I will continue to use and test the slow cooker, but so far I have not found any negatives.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Grohr rough-in floor valve is not the hardest part to install in the master bathroom, getting the measurements just right so that stand-alone tub and faucet are in the correct locations is harder. With the femalr IPS threads on the valve it makes it easier to install without having to take it apart. Read the directions carefully to get the height and all that correct. Can thread in male adapters and run PEX water lines to the rough-in valve to make things easier while anchoring it to a sturdy 2x6 board in the floor. Suggest runnung 3/4" lines to allow for the higher amount of water flow for the design of the fixture. Notna hard valve to install and everything is self explanatory, but alwayd go by the directions for the height.

I didn't use this ceramic cartridge because it seems that the shower valves aren't made by Grohe after all. So... this cartridge seems to be very well-made, and that's all I know. The finish is clean and professional, the operation rotates smoothly by hand, and the manufacturer actually imprinted their name and identification mark on the unit (unlike the old valve that I ended up rebuilding). I assume that it functions properly when liquid is routed through it, but I have no way of testing it.

This product was required for the T4759-FL Trinsic® Single Handle Floor Mounted Freestanding Tub Filler. It is a quality product and did the job, but we gave it four stars because the tub filler wasn't entirely sturdy once secured by this unit. Perhaps this is to be expected for a 41 inch tall tub filler. In addition, buyer beware, we had to cut the four 2 1/2 inch threaded rods (studs) in order for the chrome tub filler base cover to fit flush with the tile floor. We understand this may or may not be necessary depending on the height of the floor surrounding the unit.

I don't know enough about plumbing to know how to rate this, but our plumber said it was great and worked as promised for the shower faucet we chose to install. Wayfair recommended this to go with the faucet we chose, so we took for granted that it was the correct one; I love that they make recommendations so one doesn't have to go hunting for something. It took a little longer to arrive than I would have liked, so just be aware of that if you need one of these to install your faucet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This American Standard shower valve body is easy to install for the rough-in assembly when remodeling a shower. The male threaded ends makes it easy to to atrach female fittings or to do the other way of sweating in pipe on any of the ends. So the balve body gives you two different ways you could go about installing the valve body assembly. The brass assembly is very strong and durable, not of cheap quality at all. I have installed many valve bodies like this one before ss a professional plumber and it is one of the best ones you could get, especially with the different ways there are to install it. The lock in plug is good to have instead of putting the actual cartridge in to.make it easier for rough-in plumbing inspections. American Standard has always made great products, and this is judt another one of the high quality excellent products that they make.
