[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This heater couldn't have come at a better time. I was planning on testing it out in the downstairs bedroom, as it's always a bit colder in there because the old heater no longer works properly. I set up this heater on top of the other heating element (you can see in the video/picture) I have a mini thermometer/humidity meter that I placed in the room, for about an hour to allow for the thermometer to read the correct temperature in the room. Then I turned the heater on low and checked the temperature after 30 minutes, so I could get an idea as to how long it may take the heater to sufficiently heat up any room of that size. The temperature went up 6° in 30 min. As soon as I walked in the room, I immediately noticed the warmth and that the chill was completely gone. There are 3 settings on the heater, that are easy to change as needed; LOW/FAN/HIGH. There is also an awesome safety feature located on the bottom of the heater. When the heater is powered on, and running; if the heater is lifted, or tipped over the heater instantly turns off. The heater itself is very small, light and easy to transport from one area to the next, which is nice that I don't need to use both hands to move from one place to another. It's the perfect addition to my small bedroom as it heats up quick enough to take the chill off at any moment I need it. I will also be taking this heater on the road with us, for our work weekends so we don’t have to freeze in our dressing rooms (as we did this weekend). First thing my husband said, as I complained about our dressing room being without heat… “We should start bringing that heater with us on the road!” I may have to consider purchasing one for home use since we’ll be using this one for our gig weekends. Highly recommend this heater; heats an average sized bedroom quickly, safety feature is brilliant, works well and it’s easy to carry with very little weight. Love this thing!

Purchased my heater over a year ago so I had it on hand to insure I had all the information I needed to insure the right electrical support was put in place. After the electricity was connected to the panel, I tested the unit but the fan was hitting the shroud inside so I shut it down to return to it later. As the temperature outside was starting to drop, I took a Saturday to readjust the shroud so it wasn't hitting. Unfortunately the unit stopped a couple of minutes later. It would not restart. Contacted Shanice in customer support explaining what was happening. She asked me to provide proof of purchase and other information about the unit. Even though it was beyond the warranty period she agreed to replace the unit at no cost except for shipping. Two days after contacting Shanice the replacement unit was in my hand and reinstalled; working as designed. NewAir and Shanice did a wonderful job to prove that they stand behind their products and makes it easier to choose them to provide for your needs. Shanice was also a pleasure to work with. Very fast shipping, upon arrival I built a hanger and had it installed in about 20 minutes. Plugged it in, flipped the circuit breaker and it was running. Total installation time was about 35 minutes. we have had abnormally cold nights getting down to the low 20's. I have the thermostat set at less than half way. Of course I kept check on the temps for a few days, and whenever I have gone out it has been comfortable. I have been working out in my garage the past few days and I checked the temp with a thermometer and it has always been a consistant 55 deg, no matter if I check it at bedtime or first thing in the morning. My garage is 24X24 w/ insulation but no sheetrock. I did insulate the garage doors w/ 1 foil backed rigid foam. My neighbor has come over twice to check the heater. I think he is going to be in touch with you. Very pleased with the product, shipping and especially the price. My neighbor is an electrician and has told me that the heater should be pretty economical to run. however I haven't had it long enough to compare billing yet.

I live in a drafty old house that was built in the late 1800s in rural Northern Wisconsin, so I've been in desperate need of a space heater for a long time. I'm pleased to report that the NewAir AH-450B oil filled heater is a great way to transform even a drafty room into a cozy living space. The NewAir is an attractive little unit with an unobtrusive black finish. The heater measures 13" by 6" and stands at approximately 25" high, so it's small enough to fit in a corner or next to a piece of furniture. There is almost no assembly out of the box, all you are required to do is attach the rollers with four included butterfly nuts. The unit even comes with a remote control. I have wood flooring in my house, and I'm pleased that I was able to roll the heater across the floor on the included rollers without incurring any scratching. Also, the wiring in my house is very old, and I've had problems in the past with space heaters blowing fuses. I did not have that problem with this unit. The unit features an easy to read display, with large tactile buttons that are highly responsive. After you turn the heater on, it takes a short while to heat up and does so noiselessly. This is an oil filed heater so there is no electrical smell, and there are no hot coils that pose a fire risk. The heater does become hot to the touch, but not so that it might burn your skin. Still, you should not cover the heater or leave objects laying on it. The heater can be programmed to turn either off or on using the controls on the display. There are three heat settings, Low, High, and Eco. Low operates at 900 Watts and High operates at 1,500 Watts. There is no wattage designation for Eco, so it presumably operates at the lowest possible functional wattage. I ran my unit on the Eco setting and found it was adequate for heating the room. The heat settings across the top are listed at 65, 70, 75, 80 and 85 and the user can toggle through them with the buttons on the face of the unit or on the remote control. There is also a timer display that reads 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 hours. The unit can be programmed to turn either off or on at these intervals. NewAir AH-450B oil filled heater is an attractive little unit that goes together in a snap and is very easy to operate. I liked that the rollers don't scratch the floors and that it is highly programmable. For users who don't like to fiddle with digital displays, it's very easy to simply plug in the machine and enjoy the warmth. This is a good looking, efficient space heater that can help turn any room cozy.

Christine was the utmost courteous and polished professional who knew exactly where the feet or casters (sans wheels) for their brand NewAir desk heater. When I called she informed me immediately that most call reporting them missing but in fact, they are cleverly hidden in space efficient packaging. I wasn't certain with what I was impressed with more, the clever packaging (tis really of all I have seen- as they were hidden underneath and embedded in the styrofoam fit snugly in the box) or Christine's knowledge of the product right to the packaging, helpfulness, and courteousness. It truly is difficult to get high marks in all 3 but she deserves them all. I did not have to wait for an additional shipment nor be directed to call another number where the heater is made, etc.. Time is precious ! The desk heater in itself is an efficient, perfect addition to a 8'.5 x 7.5' area converted into an office. It warms up the area just as well as the 700-800W space heaters but 1/2 wattage and is easy to maneuver. Best of all, I never regret buying it since I previously had the larger one which I would constantly move out of the way.

very satisfied with this product. When I ordered this I was informed it would probably take two weeks for delivery. To my delight it arrived in about 5days. Set up is extremely easy. Connects directly to a standard 20 pound liquid propane tank. Easy to position, quite stable. Works extremely well, generates quite a bit of heat when set on high. So far have used it 3 times, with out any problems. It is rated for about 9.5 hours of use when set on high. Only improvement I would like to see would be the addition of an igniter instead of having to use a long match or hand held igniter. Would also like to have had a cover with it.

Works great. Heats the majority of my house quite well. It was easy to assemble, burns clean once it's lit. You'll want to light it up and turn it off outside to avoid the bad smell, if you're not strong it's a bit heavy to pick up and move. But once it's lit and warmed up it doesn't create any odor at all. I run mine on half kerosene and half diesel and still no odor aside from initial light up and shut down. And I know you're thinking, "but he's running diesel in it, that's why it smells" but no. It'll do it with kerosene alone as well. If you don't mind having to carry it in and out of the house I would highly recommend getting one for your house. It's a great source of heat and would make an awesome back up heating source. Kerosene in my area is quite expensive (Around 6 dollars a gallon) which is why I blend diesel into mine. A 50:50 ratio is about as high as you want to go. You'll go through wicks a little faster though. You can blend it a little less if you want or just run straight kerosene to improve the longevity of the wick, but I plan on changing mine once per season. It runs for about 10 hours on a single tank. We got ours because the price of firewood is insane right now, and it's the primary source of heat in our house. So I need less wood now. It's kind of a trade off, buying kerosene instead of wood, but it eliminated the big hit all at once monetarily.

The Dyna-Glo Delux Kerosene Heater is everything it was advertised to do. Heats up a 1500 sq.ft. shop quickly. (approx. 2 hrs. from 45-50 deg. to 65 deg.) Keeping it maintained will keep it ready to warm me up for a long time. On the flip side: Like many other GHP customers, I also never could obtain direct human/verbal contact with ANYONE in the Customer Service(?) department. I shall try elsewhere for maintenance/repair of replacement parts. Maybe in 5 years.

We have been using the heater for about 5 weeks now and its working as advertised. The heater is small and quiet, but it does produce ample heat. We are using the heater in our kitchen area (16X16) which also has 3 rooms off. Although those rooms do not receive much of an effect it does help. Also, we turn the furnace on in the morning to remove the overnight chill and then shut the furnace down for the rest of the day. Using this heater and a Life Smart in the living room works well for us. To date the temperature has not gone below 12F, so it remains to be seen how well it will perform below 0F and the Hawk blowing from the north. LJA PS.....We prefer the Dr. Heater over the Life Smart we purchased last year, as the Dr. Heater is more compact and emits more heat.

I bought a Twin Star tower heater similar to this one in 2018 & found it good for heating half of a 500 sq ft den. There's another seating area in the other half of the room that also needs a heater to cut the chill, which is what I bought this one for. I like the option of high & low speed fan. Once the heater reaches the set temperature, it switches to low, which is quieter. The unit doesn't really oscillate. It has an array of vanes which change the direction of air flow. The tower itself is stationary. The most negative aspect of the heater for me is the extreme rigidity of the power cord. This makes it almost impossible to straighten out the kinks in the cord caused by folding for transport. I had to lace the cord to a stiff rod to get it to lie straight.

This is a fantastic heater! We rent a house that is over 100 years old. Needless to say there is absolutely no insulation in the walls. When they added the kitchen addition it was built on a concrete slab with a cold tile floor and again the thought of adding insulation must have slipped their minds. The only heat source in the kitchen is an electric energy sucking barely heat providing electric heat register and there’s only one and it’s a very short run to boot. No where near enough to heat the 20’x18’ kitchen. Why they didn’t add heat from the boiler system that’s here is beyond me. It was cheaper and faster to heat the room with the gas oven than it was to turn on the electric register. Since it’s not safe or wise to heat with an oven we had to find a better way to heat the kitchen. So after much searching and comparing, we decided on this model. We’ve been using it for 3 months now and are very pleased with its performance. It heats the kitchen up quite quickly and running it every day, except for the few very unseasonably warm days (no, there’s no such thing as global warming), it’s digital thermostat and eco mode make it quite efficient and very low cost to run compared to the electric register. The noise level isn’t bad at all but we’ve only had it in the kitchen. It does get a little louder when using higher fan speeds. The unit is very easy and user friendly to use. The remote that it comes with comes in very handy when wanting to change settings from across the room. It’s also very light weight, mounts to the wall using only 2 screws and can be mounted just about anywhere. The unit also doesn’t get hot to the touch, the back of the unit which is closest to the wall stays cool to the touch, as do the sides. Heat only comes out from the bottom front. I do recommend this unit. It does the job (no more frozen pipes under the sink with the cabinet doors closed!) and it doesn’t break the bank to use it.

What an amazing warming gadget for my living room! Black and Decker you made my winter in KS way more bearable. Our living room has always been chilly with the tall ceilings we have. I put this very small warming unit in that room and it heats the entire area. At almost 10” tall, 900-1500 watt options, tip over and over heat safety features. Easy plug in prop in the corner and wa-la! Takes the coolness off my movie night. Extra long cord to reach any special spot you have. You can get cozy too, I tried it so you can buy it. I just bought this heater recently on a recommendation from my daughter. I was quite amazed when I plugged in the heater and it quickly heated up my large bedroom. I was so impressed that I immediately bought a second heater for my son. The heater has many safety Features, including automatic shut off as well as overheat protection. It was a great value. I have been impressed with Black & Decker since I bought a small rechargeable can opener back in the 90s. Their products have shown themselves to be reliable and long lasting. I am looking forward to many years of heat from this mighty little heater.

I definitely needed a propane heater, because I used to use electric space heaters and my house stayed cool last winter and spent a lot of money on electricity even to keep my house fairly warm. So I decided to switch to propane since I already had a propane take outside and lines ran. The heater is extremely easy to hook up and mount and start up. It took my husband all of 20 mins to mount it and hook it up. We put it in our living room that was about 16ftx16ft. It heated the living room up in 10 mins, and I ended up opening all the other rooms doors in my house and it warmed all 3 bedrooms and our bathroom and kitchen too. I would definitely recommend this heater. It’s made very well, the value is definitely there too. It’s a bang for your buck. If you need a heater this is all you’ll need. Works great, heats up fast, easy to install too.

Very easy to work. It is not electric heater is a gas heater. Very easy to hook up everything like you need to make it work.it is very well made . If you need a heater to warm a good size room this one will do it . This heater would work very well at a camp as well being it is gas . Would work good in an apartment also .

This heater is great. Today is quite cold in Upstate NY and my furnace has been kicking on a lot, so I decided to set up my new heater. Since turning it on an hour ago, my furnace has yet to kick on again. I’ve got an open floor plan in a ranch style house. The heat throughout the home seems to be staying nice even. When I purchased this model, I chose it because it said it was energy efficient.Upon receiving it, there’s no mention on the box or included paperwork that it is. With that being said, it’s still a great unit!

I love Lasko heaters. I bought one a while back and love it so I just received my second one. I like this one better in some ways, one is that it's has a pedestal so the heat is up higher in the room. And it has a wider turn range. The only thing I don't like about this one is the controller buttons are flat, you can't feel them. I some times get up in the middle of the night to turn it on and don't turn on the light. The older one has raised buttons which is better for me. But they are both very nice heaters. The prices are always better than local and the shipping is always fast. Love Wayfair!
