This little humidifier is a power house! I knew I was starting to have trouble with some mildew in the basement studio apartment because of two very wet years in a row. I bought this to help take care of the issue. It is amazing. I just kept watching as it pulled out 2.5 cups of water the first three days! I moved it into the carpeted room to see if it did the same there, and it did. In one day there was a full cup of water. I have been pouring it out in a measuring cup and timing to be sure. I am actually looking forward to it pulling less water so I know the mildew will be under control. Can't say enough about this powerhouse. Easy to use, the size is perfect. It's not teeny tiny and cheaply made either. It's small enough to tuck into my closet if I need to, but it doesn't take up much room at the foot of my bed. And it is very quiet. I thought it might compete with the TV since I don't turn the volume up loud, but it does not. Can't go wrong with this humidifier. I am thinking about buying a second one for my daughter.

Summer with very high humidity in Quebec, this unit works perfectly well for my expectations. I used it at low speed and it keeps the humidity at 50% just like I programmed it to be. Connected the drainage tube to the sink, and the water drains as described. I am very pleased with this unit thus far and highly recommend it to anyone.

I had never used a desiccant dehumidifier before but after a bit of research online, I decided to give it a try. This unit was a great size for my apartment. All I had to do was take it out of the box, plug in and turn it on. Very straight forward. It's great to see how much moisture it sucks out for such a small unit. It is quiet and you can hardly tell it's on with the low/sleep settings. I also love that it's lightweight and I can transport it easily from one room to the next. Highly recommended!

I have this dehumidifier for about a year now and it is still working perfectly. It's a good size for a bathroom - just small enough to not be very noticeable but works well enough to help with the humidity. I also love that its very quiet when it runs. Just make sure you check the vents on the front for dust every now and then because it sometimes collects in there. As long as you keep them clean it keeps working fine.

I absolutely was thrilled with the way this item worked. I had bought it and mounted it near the ceiling of my bathroom and attached it to a smart plug. I was looking for something to control the humidity in the bathroom when I was showering to reduce mold development on the ceiling. No more problems with having to scrub off mold off the ceiling. Item works and continues to work beautifully!

I put this in my basement to try to eliminate the musty odour I have a dehumidifier on to get the moisture level down and the musty odour is now pretty much gone, pleasant now to go down there to do laundry

We purchased a larger one of these for our basement a few years ago and helped extremely to eliminate the humidity and mildew smell. This one we purchased for a crawl space as we noticed the mildew smell coming up into the 1st floor vents. It is definitely helping and is keeping our storage items from turning moldy as well.

Easy to install and so far has lowered the Humidity in the basement to 70%. We need to finish putting down all the plastic on the dirt crawl space and when that is done the humidity should go down further. Fan is quiet and we have installed the two vents to the first floor.

This little De-humi is perfect for my small space. After installing the unit, I checked it thirty minutes later and water had been collected in the tank. It is very sleek and modern in appearance. I would recommend this unit to a friend.

I love it. It works great. The only thing I wish it had was a pump to save me from having to empty it. The app works well. I havent been able to link to to alexa like it says is possible, but I will eventually if it is. Notification when tank is full doesnt push through my phone like its supposed to so I have to open the app every couple of hours to see if its full or not, but that may just be the settings on my phone interfering with the app push notifications. It does the job though and it does it well.

just...WOW! We have an older 35-pint model Frigidaire. It's been a workhorse for years! After being flooded by hurricane IDA's remnants, I looked for a 2nd dehumidifier. Saw other popular models, but thought a Frigidaire would be best. Turns out the reviews agree. Some complained of leaks, mold, and grease. NOT my experience. It's perfect! There's a bit of water that drips to the bottom when you pull out the collector to empty. That's it. It's loud on the highest setting. But wow..powerful, or we have a ton of water to clean up that we can't easily see! Since receiving this almost two weeks ago, it's been running 24/7, and we've been emptying an average of 3 FULL bins every day, so what's that... 150 pints?! How can all that water be there? Well, much of it is in the air, so...that's what helps the mold grow. Multiple settings... the air cleaner wanted me to reset it... based on use... it was pretty clean... so I just pushed the button and it was reset. Put it on the CO setting... highest... it blows very warm air around...heats up the basement. It's all fine because that's what we need. Probably using a lot of energy, but it's what we need to get the water out. The odor in the basement is almost gone... and we are forever thankful for this dehumidifier! Meanwhile, the 35-pint is chugging away in the garage. I may swap them around. ALSO... when we do laundry, if this thing is running, the clothes dry in less than 1/2 the time - hung clothes, that is. No mold..no mildew... perfect! So far, no mold..no leaks out the pipe hookup as some stated...but I'll be watching. Couldn't be more pleased with this! NOTE: You can set this much lower than the highest setting...even reduce the fan multiple clicks. It's pretty easy to use...rolls easily - 4 mini-wheels - and has a strong handle, similar to the older 35-pint model we have. It's kinda heavy...but it's a monster of a unit, so that's expected. I'm a big guy - 240 pounds, almost 6 feet tall - and I had to lug it around a bit. But again..it rolls nicely on a smooth floor. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this dehumidifier! Through Wayfair, it got here several days earlier than expected - been my experience every time...yay! So ...all good things! Included some photos in this review. You'll see the handle, the air-cleaner/screen - easy to remove - and the water that accumulates when you pull out the bin to empty. And..I should read the manual.

Initial thoughts on the Danby 40 Pint Dehumidifier DDR040EBWDB. The dehumidifier arrived in good condition thanks to its robust packaging. Unpacking the dehumidifier and all the included items is pretty straight forward. All included items, other than the clear plastic drain tubing and documentation, are in the water bucket. Note that there is also a continuous drain connector in the bucket, and because it is small and white it could be easily missed. The manual says to let it stand upright for a minimum of 6 hours before initial start up, which is important to its overall longevity. Given that mine was shipped on its side, I waited for 24 hours just to be safe. It would be nice if shippers would pay closer attention to appliances that rely on refrigeration coils. Initial start up went well, with the system starting in the default setting of 50% humidity and on low fan. The unit is not the quietest that I have ever had but depending on where you have it set up, mine is in an unfinished basement and on high, it is acceptable. Setting it to the low fan speed will probably work for most people, unless you need to dehumidify a very damp space. Mine space is not damp and has been running for just over 24 hours, in which time the humidity has gone from 67% to 53%. Overall, I give this dehumidifier 4 stars based on fit and finish and ease of operation and take away one star for the noise level.
