Best Barn Door Hardware With Reviews

Solid hardware. All pieces were there and of high quality and look great. A couple of things to note. The instructions online indicate that the distance from the wall is 2 1/4 inches minus the door thickness. It's actually 2 1/8. Also the product indicates it will work for door thicknesses up to 2". I had a 2" door and I could barely get the nuts on the wheel mounting bolts even without using the washers on either side. It seems to be ok without the washers, but if you feel you need them then the max door thickness is really about 1 3/4".

We got the 96” rail and it comes in one piece - which is great!!! It’s good quality and looks great. They give you screws for dry wall or concrete installation which is nice! My only negative is that the installation instructions are a bit challenging - and the company uses odd dimensions (ex: 1 11/16) to describe how and where to drill. Overall though we’re very happy with the product and how it looks!!

Like the finish and the handle side is perfect. However we have not installed the door yet. The groove on the flat side of the handle is a little shallow for your fingers. We need to be able to open the door from both sides. We are just going to knock the center piece out and hollow out the wood a little deeper. Should be easy enough. It is just tap welded on. Easy fix!

Based on looks and functionality I’m obsessed! The big wheels are beautiful and it glides with ease. We had to add a board to braces if bc the studs were hitting where you needed them too for the holes on the track. It says a 1x4 boards is optional as an additional brace but you most likely need it! The only thing that was annoying and difficult was it had measurements in meters and the inches conversation they gave you was 3 3764. Who the hell measures or knows how to measure 3764! After we figured that out it was fine but that took a hot minute.

This is a sleek, tough looking handle and I’m happy with how it completes my pine barn door. The brushed steel finish match my kitchen appliances. The package included two full handles (2 handles, 2 backing plates). The only con is the box they come in. It’s very flimsy and it arrived torn up. The content was mostly fine but a screw was missing. It isn’t the kind of screw that can be found at home stores so I reached out to Wayfair to be sent one. They immediately sent a whole new set of handles instead. Overall a great shopping experience. Side notes - Because of how thin my door is (roughly 0.75”) we had to trim the screws a little to make it work. - The design of my door with a wood plank across didn’t allow to install the two circle plates at the base of the handle. It looks and work perfectly fine without them.

I was not able to put this together yet but after opening the box and examining the parts it’s of great quality , I look forward to installing this as soon as I can afford the door where I want to place this hardware kit. For the price I would say it’s worth it’s value. It came in a sturdy box so nothing was damaged. I would recommend this for people that need a door that slides to an open wall as verses a swing door, swing doors usually take up much space in a small area . I look forward to utilizing this hardware as soon as I can make more money for the door solid slab or maybe I might go hollow Not sure yet but the metal is strong and properly delivered

Originally got this sliding door track for a bedroom door to save space. Hanging the track was easy though we needed two people to do it, one to hold and screw and the other to pass parts and check everything was level as we went. All the holes for the mounting screws are 16” center to line up with the studs in your wall so it is nice and secure and easy to install. The track and some of its pieces are smaller in size compared to some other tracks we have in our home. Make sure the weight capacity can support the doordoors you are hanging. Love the simplistic modern industrial look. Decided to go a different direction and we are going to use it to display hanging art work.

I assumed that this would be mediocre quality because the pricing is so much less (like half as much) than other sets, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The slide bar and straps are sturdy and attractive. Subtracted one star because the "matte black" is really a dark grey rather than black. Have not yet attached a door, but I think it's going to work out nicely. Highly reccommend this over higher priced versions. Pros: great value, sturdy construction Cons: color descriptions not entirely accurate

This is a fantastic product. For our space, we needed a shorter bar. Because of where the hole placements were in the bar (for mounting to the wall), we were barely able to cut the bar down to the correct size. It just happened to work out! The function remains the same. We were able to figure out how to assemble with two of us working together, as there were some errors we could have made while drilling holes in our door! Working slowly and double checking measurements is important. Definitely love the slow close feature, as we have kids and typical barn door setups are dangerous for fingers!

This hardware is nice and I’m pleased with the quality. However, instructions are nearly useless and not accurate. Just watch a few YouTube videos for more practical and accurate details on installing barn doors in general and you’ll be better off. Also, product engineering lacked much. For instance, installation requires highly precise (within 1/16 of an inch) placement of eight screw holes, which is nearly impossible for the average do-it-yourselfer. There’s better ways to hang doors than the overly complicated and high precision system used here. In spite of that, I’m happy with the quality of this hardware and recommend it to anyone looking for a more modern, less rustic barn door look.

This product is just as you see here. It feels heavy and solid so I think it’ll be durable. My contractor had to saw off the ends to shorten the screws that came with it bc they were much longer than the width of the door. I suppose this would be helpful if the door was a lot thicker. If you like what you see here, it won’t disappoint!

The quality of the barn door hardware is obvious, but there are NO DIRECTIONS aside from what's on Wayfair's site. Luckily, both my husband and I have installed barn doors in the past, so we were mostly familiar with what had to happen, but because there were no instructions we missed a crucial step (installing inside stops) prior to putting the bar up - now that everything is up, we don't want to take it down and risk over sizing the holes in the walls. My husband is going try to cut and rig the inside stops. All could've been avoided with better/any directions. I'm only taking a star away though because the value and quality really can't be beat.

The instructions don't exactly match the hardware provided in the kit but we figured it out and feel like it provides a very sturdy support for our custom barn doors. Took 3-4 hours to install because we needed to purchase a router in order to use the floor guides provided in the kit. I would suggest purchasing a different style of floor guides separately to avoid this hassle, not to mention the guides in the kit are plastic so I'm not sure how strong/durable they actually are.

The hardware seems very sturdy, but the instructions could use an update. I highly recommend posting the instructions on the sales information page. Then add in important thoughts such as door heights and the fact that there is no clearance for trim around your doors. The bolts are too long and require more space that is unnecessary in the design. I recessed the bolts on the wall side to help with clearance, but still needed to add a ledger strip to the wall to clear the moulding. I also went to the single track as the space was too great for the outside door to keep noise out of this room. FYI... the outside door hangs 1/2 inch higher when you follow the instructions for the hardware. As you see, I ditched the outside hardware and kept everything on the same track. Of course I found out all this information along the way and had to repair holes and repaint the wall after removing the outside rail. Like I said... good product, but needs to be more clear on the specs.

I received the order promptly & undamaged. It was relatively easy to install. I removed the top door trim, cut off the miter of the remaining trim, & added a board that ran the length of the track so I didn't have to be concerned about the spacing & studs. This worked perfectly. The hardware is very sturdy & looks great. The finish is a bit rougher than a typical brushed finish, but it looks good with my other cabinet hardware. Very happy with product.

The product is well made, sturdy and has a clean design. I read the comments before purchasing the product and I am glad I did. I learned from other's comments and tips about both the product and the installation. First, this is a single rail, bypass, double door kit. Both doors will ride on the same rail. I think some customers were looking for a two rail system, where the doors ride on their own rail and will move independent of each other. I like the cleaner look of a single rail, so I knew what I was purchasing. Second, the instructions were not clear, but I learned from other comments where I needed to pay attention. * You will need a router to make a channel or a groove at the bottom of the door for the "floor guide". This keeps the barn door from swaying in and out and keeps it in line when sliding open/close. * My barn door was thinner than the bolt and acorn nut that holds the hangar/roller to the barn door. Some comments said they bought shorter bolts, but I wanted to keep the original bolts to maintain the same color, so i bought additional washers to make up for the thickness and placed them on the backside of the door so you cannot see them. * Understand the width of the overlap of the doors so that you know what width of doors you need to buy and the length of the rail you need. This makes more sense when you read the directions and see the overlap visual. If you don't understand the overlap and the loss of total width, you may not have enough door and/or rail width to cover your opening. As simple as it looks, it took a little longer because of the gaps in the instructions, but it worked out especially with the help of other comments. I am very happy with the product though. It is made with quality and a good a price point.

Heavy and sturdy black metal handle. I will be installing this handle this weekend. Will update with installation pictures. Here are photos of how it came delivered. I also took a picture of the reverse handle with the indention to pull open the door. The great thing is you DO NOT have to carve up the door (what a perk). The delivery was pretty fast. This handle came with great directions, however, it is pretty much self explanatory. This handle is EXACTLY what I needed, quality and stylish with minimal flash appeal so it doesnt take away from my white door.
