It doesn't appear to be a cheap set. I feel content using this set as I do not burn my hands and the pieces are long enough to keep from the fire.

I use it for my firepit outside, and it handles the tough job. I do think the shovel is a bit too small and doesn't hold the coals very well. This could be an issue cleaning out an indoor fireplace. The handles corps be a little longer on all the tools? Otherwise, this set is just perfect.
