Best Kitchen & Dining Chairs With Reviews

Purchased the navy color, it is a very dark navy (almost close to black) but I still really like it. The chairs are well-made and easy to put together. I was able to put both of them together by myself in about 30 minutes. All of the parts were very well labeled so following directions was easy. It also came with an extra set of all assembly parts/screws in case something goes missing which is nice. Overall happy with my purchase, these are a little on the pricier side, but I wanted strong and durable chairs that will last long, and I know these will do just that. Just an FYI the shipping box it arrives in is around 45 lbs, so make sure you are able to lift that much or have someone to help you carry it into your home/apartment.

Overall they're worth it. I bought these to temporarily replace chairs I'm refinishing and they're taking a bit longer than I'd like. I was tired of having chairs constantly mismatched or needing work done so I bought these to save my sanity and figured they'd be a nice addition during big family dinners when I need extra seating. I'm pretty happy with them. They are definitely more of a gray tone and I'd call them distressed white as opposed to antique white. They match my table and hutch fairly well and those pieces have been painted white and then distressed with the antiquing glaze, hence the antique white. However, I think people tend to think of antique white as more of a creamy off white and that's not the deal with these. They are pretty heavily distressed and not perfect but I'm OK with that at this point. I did have trouble with them not being level but it talks about how to adjust that. I tried that just a little and then moved on because mine sit on an area rug. My original chairs which are more heavy duty and glued and screwed and everything else are the same way but there's no adjusting them. It would be nice if there were pilot holes on the bottom of the seat but it was not a huge problem. Maybe I can add photos later.

LOVE.....LOVE....LOVE these chairs!. I ordered them in Dark Sea Green. I was worried that the color may be too bright, but they are perfect for my 9 ft farm table! They are antiqued to give the perfect weathered look. I originally ordered 1 set of 2 since I just wasn't sure. I wound up ordered 2 more sets of 2. I'm still debating whether to get 2 more sets of 2 or to have a bench made for my table. I'm still on the hunt for 2 upholstered chairs to put at both ends. The chairs arrived quickly, packaged very well, with no missing or damaged parts and were relatively easy to assemble. My husband can be quite the critic but he thought the quality of these chairs was excellent! I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

I was going to give this 3 starts for the difficulty I had putting them together but then I figured out a shortcut. I DID NOT use the tiny allen wrench that was provided. Instead I used a screw driver allen wrench and had a much easier time. While using the allen wrench at first, the screws would not go into the holes so i thought they were not lined up properly and I would not be able to assemble the chair. I was able to get them all together fairly quickly after using the screw driver. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because they are not as heavy as I was hoping, but they seem sturdy. I ordered them because a friend of mine has chairs that are listed as 20lbs online and are fairly strong and sturdy. These were also listed as 20lbs each but just seem light. We will see how durable they are once we get more use out of them and have company over.

I really like these linen chairs. I got the beige and the color is pretty true to pictured. There have been several comments about how difficult they are to put together and that two people are needed. I managed to put mine together by myself while sitting on my couch. Some tips for installation: Attach the free legs to the chair cushion first. Then place the peg and only partially screw in the three center pieces. Screw in the leg pieces only enough to hold them in place. Set the chair on all four legs and find the position that doesn't wobble. Hold that position while you turn it upside down (it's not heavy) and screw in the leg pieces. Turn it over to test it. If it doesn't wobble, flip it back and tighten the middle pieces. This worked for me for all four chairs I bought. The first one was a learning curve. I didn't see any directions until the second box. Over all, these little chairs are worth it. The look more expensive than they are.

I LOVE the color of these chairs. It was true to the pictures. It goes well with our modern farmhouse theme. They are really strong and arrived already assembled. My main complaint is what others said: the bars on the chair stick into your hips if you sit back. I measured, it's ONLY 13" BETWEEN THE BARS! I worked at trying to bend the bars to widen them, but they are like steel and won't give. They are also welded to the seat. Being only 14" in depth and losing like 3" to the area too small by the bars, you have to sit on the first 10" of the front of the chair. I can make due since we only sit at the dining table to eat, we can sit on the front of the chair, and I bought a bench for my plus sized husband to sit on the other side. BEWARE of the small size if you are average sized or larger, or plan to sit on these chairs for an extended period of time. Overall, I would probably recommend them and purchase them again, with the caveat mentioned above. To the manufacturer, these would be greatly improved if the bars bent out a bit to make the back of the chair also 14" wide between the bars.

I love these chairs! They're really classy looking and so comfortable. I think they look more expensive than they actually were. The cushioned seat, back and arms feel great. I chose these because I needed a chair on casters to slide on my tile floor, and they do just that wonderfully. Instructions looked confusing at first, but they got put together easily. I like how the underside of the seat has a zippered opening (my new hiding place!). I got the teal color and it is more to the green side rather than the blue side. Delivery was free and quick. The only thing negative I noticed, was that when I sit in the chair, I feel too low; but I fixed that by putting a pillow on the seat (and I'm 5'11"). My 6'4" husband doesn't have this problem; he thinks the height is perfect. I believe my lady guests will have to do the same. I think this was a great purchase ............ we'll see.

Love these chairs. I paired them with the Cassidy solid wood dining table in espresso finish. The chrome legs add just the right balance of modern or contemporary touch without being too much of either. The cushions are firm, which was a pleasant surprise, so that adds great support and the seat depth is nice so youre not sitting on the edge (especially for someone like me who is 58...great for shorter heights too). The chairs are sturdy and do not wobble...but during assembly, its important to make sure the frame of the legs are level when the screws are tightened because uneven assembly will obviously cause the legs to be uneven. Its best to fully tighten the screws after standing the chairs upright to ensure the legs are level on the floor. Assembly was easy as well since the main frame is one piece. I love the velvety material, the stitching is good and the zipper seam down the back is a nice touch...adds subtle detail instead of just a plain finish (fyi...the chair fabric isnt removable, so thats not the intent of the zipper). The seat cushion is removable, but stays in place with velcro backing and it looks like the fabric on those can be removed if neccessary because there is a zipper that opens, but I would check on that before removing and washing them to ensure they would fit back on the same. Probably better to manually spot clean by hand to maintain the integrity of the fabric to the rest of the chair. So glad I purchased these after looking at so many other options.

These chairs look great with our table! However, they were a pain to assemble because the legs were wonky. We read this in other reviews as well, but we were able to work with them to try to get them even. Also, two of the legs were missing the foot pads, but customer service was great and quickly sent us replacement parts! The back spindles squeak when you lean backwards, and I wouldn’t guarantee they can hold a lot of force backwards. They feel somewhat delicate. Overall they are great chairs, but I am not sure they will last long term. We bought them with the thought that our young kids will beat them up and then we can get something nicer when the kids are older.

I ordered the grey chairs. The velvet fabric has very soft smooth handfeel. The color is dark grey. I attached a picture under the day light for your reference. The cushion is firm enough to support your back and comfortable enough to allow you to have a long conversation while sitting on it. This chair is very sturdy and stable. My husband is 6’3” and 220 lbs. This chair is wide and deep enough (18.75” depth 19.25” width between armrests) to fit my husband and stable enough not to break apart with my husband’s tendency to lean back while sitting on the chair. By the way, the distance from the edge of the arms to the front of the chair is 6.75”, not 4" as described on the website. My dinning table is only 35.5”x63”. Even though this is not a small chair, there is still plenty of leg room under the dining table. Thanks to the perfect design! There is actually 1” distance between the chrome base of the chair and the lacquer leg of my dinning table. I can casually push the chair all the way in to my dinning table without worrying about any damages or chips to on my lacquer table. What I already love about the appearance of the chair is the arm rests gives a very classy look, and the chrome base give a modern look. The quality and the style of the chair will last. We absolutely love the chairs! We are now researching for a new sofa. And we will definitely buy from Wayfair again! Great company! Awesome customer service!

It's good. The color is a bit more beige than it is an off-white, but it still works with what we wanted for 2 end dining table chairs. It was not as easy to put together as the other chairs we got four of, namely because the legs are 4 separate ones. Follow the diagram (I saw some people were frustrated with the legs not being easy to figure out), and you'll be fine because the legs are numbered 1, 2, 3, 4 and each of them has their specific spot which is shown in the instructions. It took about 30 minutes to make each chair (which is just attaching 4 legs) because the screw holes were not cleared of plastic residue so I had to clear each one by putting a screw into each hole (3 screws per leg = 24 holes per chair) first then doing it again with each leg. End result, the chair looks good. The last point to make is that the lower back could do with more stuffing inside. When you lean back you can hear the gape between fabric and structure so I'll probably end up putting a small cushion on each of these.

This side chair is a well-built for the price mid-century modern piece that coordinates well with a walnut finished table. Assembly was very straight forward as long as you lay everything out and preplan the steps. I also recommend having a long 4mm allen socket with a ratchet rather than trying to use the supplied allen key - it makes things to much faster. I would concur with prior reviews that the chairs are a challenge to assemble without wobble. There is a bit of flex in the joints and as you tighten the bolts for the stiles and screws for the spindles, as a result shifting occurs. What I did was two things; 1. use a bit of wood glue on the connections, and 2. tighten everything just prior to full tension and sit in the chairs (using the cushions loose) to shift it square. Then give final torque to everything in a diagonal sequential order. After this process one chair was perfectly level, and one had a minor 1/8" wobble. I corrected the wobble with a flat file taken to the plastic pads on the two opposing legs. That corrected the wobble. After about a day, both chairs are perfectly level and rock solid after the wood glue set. Finally, the chair cushions had a very strong chemical odor when first unpacked, but it dissipated after a couple of days. Overall, if you're willing to invest a little time with proper assembly, these are stellar chairs for the price!

So simple yet pretty. VERY COMFORTABLE! I didn't think this would be comfortable given that it is not cushioned at all. This chair feels like it's hugging your body. I love how it looks for such a good price. The assembly was super easy and only took 5 minutes. The color is perfect. It is the exact same color as shown in pictures on the website. At first, I was concerned after we finished assembling the chair, for its height. It seems lower than what I was used to. I realized I didn't need to worry a thing once I sat in it. This fits perfectly under my desk and I would say my desk is a standard size. I love how it gives you a back support that you are not crouching all the time. This chair makes me to want to sit up straight (which is very challenging for me with any chairs). I wish all schools chairs were replaced with these. This was my first purchase from Wayfair and I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

The chairs are beautiful and came well packaged with fast delivery and at a great price. My only concern is with the longevity of the chairs since the rattan appears could dry out and flake off easily over time. I am looking into some sort of coating to preserve the rattan because of that issue and it's probably the same issue/cause for some reviewers stating that the rattan would snag their clothes and be uncomfortable, but I find the chairs to be comfortable to sit in and they add a lot of character to the dining room. For those of you looking for the hard to find tie around cushions for these chairs, they can be found at Zin furniture. It took me a long time searching to find anyone who sold the cushions separately from the chairs and only just a few days ago I was able to order them for my chairs. I hope that this small bit of information will be helpful to some of you considering purchasing these chairs, they look beautiful and for the price they are hard to beat even if they don't end up holding up for 10 or 20 years as most of us would expect out of them.

The previous review is correct about the seats being a PITA. The seat does not have any pre-drilled holes where the screws will go. The seat is very solid wood and I couldn't get the screws to go through or stay where I wanted them to be when trying to fasten the seat. So what I did is I lined up the seat the very best I could, then marked where the holes should be, then pre-drilled holes with a small drill bit , then put the screws through with a battery powered drill driver through the pilot holes I had drilled. This worked very well. Be careful not to overdrive the screws and be careful with the other parts of the chair, as the other wood (not the seat) is a soft wood and easy to dent of mark if you acidently hit a couple of the pieces of wood together. Chairs do seem pretty sturdy, I'm over 250 pounds and have used them with no problems as of yet.

I am delighted with the three chairs I purchased! I am also delighted with the young man I spoke to on the phone who was so helpful when I ordered them. Most parsons chairs are sold in sets of two but he not only found me these that I could get individually, but they were identical to the ones I saw online! The chairs arrived on the day he said they would, and it took me about an hour to assemble all three. They are very sturdily made, high quality wood and fabric. One tip I have for assembly is to be aware that the back and back legs, which come as a unit, have a curve, so I had to figure out a way to prevent putting weight on the back as I attached the seat with its legs. I found that if I rested a front leg on my shoulder, I could very easily attach that side of the seat. I simply rotated sides until it was fully assembled (this is the last step and the only challenge I experienced). The finished seats are just the perfect color to give my dining room the color pop I was looking for. They are very comfortable, fairly firm so they will keep their shape. Be aware that there is a weight limit of about 250 lbs. for persons sitting on the chairs, and that they are not extra wide for larger people. But outside of that, I think you will be delighted with these chairs as I am.

Love the look of these chairs but for every chair of the six we had the same hole which was drilled on such an angle we could not get that bolt in we had one of six chairs that allowed for all the bolts to be installed we were also missing some of the necessary hardware. We worked on each chair 1-2 hours due to poor alignment from the pre drilling of the holes. Our hands were blistered and sore. Testament to Wayfair though was when I called to advise of our issues they immediately figured we had received a ‘dud batch’ shall we say and replaced the original ones. With heading so close to Christmas we haven’t had time to put together the new chairs but hoping these will work out better for us. We’ve always had good customer service from Wayfair and that’s what keeps us coming back both personally and professionally- their desire to make it right and keep the customer happy. I have given four stars as the chairs themselves look great and customer service was wonderful if I had rated them based on initial set up I would have given them a two to three star rating.
