I ❤️ this burgundy corner bookcase. It fits perfectly in my family room with the Geometric burgundy bookcase as well. When I saw these bookcases, I hesitated to get them, but the color stood out because they were in my favorite color. I knew I had to get them. These bookcases fit perfectly in my living room with my burgundy couch and burgundy lounge chair. It fits perfectly with the things in my house. I feel I made an excellent choice with these two bookcases. Thank you for having them in so many beautiful colors and not just black, brown, or gray. These bookcases lighten up the family room. Everybody has make a positive comment on my choice of bookcases. My sister said, “Oh, that’s a pretty color. It brings color into the living room. PROS: Used two of these shelves back to back for my retail display during the One of a Kind Show in Toronto and it was a big hit! It allowed for my customers to walk around the full display and they were able to see my product from all the sides. The storage at the bottom was also incredibly convenient for my extra product. I also made use of the space under the storage cabinet to store my retail bags and retail boxes. I did not have these placed against the wall or secured to anything and they did not seem to be wobbly at all. I didn't have to worry about them falling down. The ladder design was also very convenient for allowing people to look at the display and all my product. CONS: I used these for three shows in a row, and by the third show, the "wood look" sticker peeled off with some tape that I had adhered to the cabinet doors. I covered the peeled off parts with another design, but it would've been nice if they didn't peel off so easily, because what's underneath I think is just particle board. The metal stand did not fit together as nicely as you'd like, so there was some maneuvering involved to make sure the screw holes lined up, so it took a bit of time to put together. Ordered on Monday, received on Thursday...didn't expect it until 1/10! Seriously fast delivery. The bookcase is large, but not heavy, yet it is solidly constructed. My son and I assembled it in about 20 minutes. The bookcase has transformed my home office. Mementos I've accumulated over the years fit beautifully and it gives me a great platform for my wall stereo system. The shelves are lightweight but rigid with bracing underneath to add support. Between that, the cross-bracing in back, and the fact that the shelves are bolted to the frame, leads me to think I won't see any bowing as long as I don't put anything super-heavy dead in the middle of it. The bookcase arrived with all the packaging intact and no damage or mars on the components. Directions were easy to follow, and (like the directions say) don't tighten the bolts until you have it upright and level to save time and make fitting the pieces easier. My adult kids are all home for the holidays, and their reaction when seeing it has been "Wow! That looks awesome." I work from home a lot, like a lot of people these days, and having a nice piece like this anchors the room and has brought some much needed serenity to the space.

I got this case in the turquoise. Let me start with why the -1, because the rest of this is all positive. I subtracted one star as this was a "bought together" recommendation with the Covington Modern Desk. I too, ordered the desk in turquoise, assuming they'd be a perfect match. The color of this is a little more green than the desk. The desk is a lighter turquoise, and THIS product is a little darker. With that being said they do not sit right next to each other so I don't mind. Bottom line is that if you want this matchy-matchy with other products on this site, probably stick to white. Everything else is very positive. This was packaged great, with no damage, and very easy to put together. Instead of plastic tabs, I put felt on the bottom. It assembles with screws with an allen wrench, which anyone can do. Everything aligned as expected, and there weren't any quality issues. The little adhesive tabs to go over the screws matched the desk better than this bookshelf, so I wonder if I just happened to get a darker version due to differences in the production model. Despite all of those, I think that given the price, and the design, it's still a 4 star win. If the colors matched up this would clearly be 5 stars. Also for any of you with small children, it DOES NOT come with wall anchoring hardware. Buy that separately. Again, not a negative, just an FYI.

I only gave this four stars because there was a small defect that made putting this together way more difficult than it needed to be. After I put this together, I had far too many screws left over. I took it apart and had two other people put this together and they had the same pieces leftover. We found out that one of the boards did not have the correct drill holes, but I was able to make it work myself by securing the top section to the wall. Other than that, the bookcase is the perfect height, sturdy (after securing it) and looks great. I also have the blush Callaham TV stand and this is an exact match for it, though that’s pretty evident from the images for both. Even though I had issues, I’d still purchase this again. After dealing with that hurdle, it’s a great addition to my living room and still works as intended. I’m sure this mistake doesn’t happen very often, but even if it does, it can still work.

It's a very nice piece and was easy to put together. The cherry stain is beautiful. It doesn't have a cheap look to it at all. My only two concerns would be that the instructions aren't very specific in how the shelves lay in regards to the beveled edge. The first time around I put them on upside down and only noticed this because the underside of the shelf is not as polished as the top side. Additionally, the manufacturer's sticker is underneath the top shelf and is nearly impossible to remove without making indentations in the wood which is soft. If you're sitting with your eye level below the top shelf you see this white sticker. Why not put it on the bottom shelf?? Makes no sense. I ended up coloring it over with a marker to make it less visible. Without this issue I would have given it 5 stars.

Was surprised to find this was just a 5 shelf bookcase. Could have possibly bought this locally, and not have to deal with shipping damage. These are very heavy in the box, ( 81.5lbs!!! ) and were damaged from abuse during delivery. I had bought 2 of these in BLACK, one was damaged pretty bad. I used a black Sharpie to touch up as much of the damage as I could, because once you have these open, let's face it, your not going to go through the hassle of trying to get them repacked and try to get it shipped back. You cannot see the damage until its opened. The backs are closed BUT, do have a hole you can punch out if you need to run cords for lighting or anything. Its about a 1 1/4" hole, so if you need more, you'll need to cut the back. The back is about 3/32" thick. Easy to cut through. I ordered Estate Black, and used a black Sharpie to cover up the edges where the edge banding shows. The edge banding is NOT black on the edges. Not very noticeable unless your up close, but I'm familiar with this kind of furniture so I was already expecting to have to "edge" the units to make them all black. Assembly wasnt terribly hard, takes about 30 minutes. I recommend a power drill with a screwdriver bit for the screws, otherwise, doing them by hand with a hand screw driver can be a pain. The backs are nailed in place. Over all fit and finish is OK, better then alot of cheaper stuff I've had, but not perfect. Quality of the parts were very good, instructions were good, all parts were there and hardware as well. They worked for my purpose. Shipped very fast.

I was looking for a simple sturdy shelf beyond the basic big box store items and was attracted by the "whitewashed" look and cubbies as well as the narrow profile. I had a lot of odds and ends - jewelry boxes, photos, books, ceramics etc. that needed a home. I include a photo - haven't staged or organized things yet, but you can see that there is plenty of room to use in office, bedroom, or anywhere that needs a shelf. Be aware that it's basically paper on manmade lumber - photographed whitewashed paper over pressed wood. If you can live with the faux look and just need an attractive heavy storage unit this will do the trick. The back wall of the unit is heavy cardboard. Pros: Heavy, lots of cubbies and ledges on top and some shelves to keep things from toppling off. Cons: Delivered in a heavy solid box - I had to cut open the box and drag the pieces in the house individually and separate the parts out for con#2 - Assembly. Even with the pictures and instructions it was a challenge to assemble. Helpful hints - don't screw down the nameplates too tightly or you won't be able to slip in the name tags for the shelves. Also, have a heavy towel to set the shelves on if you have to drag it to another room. This was heavy for two people - so be aware of the final weight, especially if you have to move it up flights of stairs to an apartment.

I needed bookcases for a short wall in my living room, but I wanted them to be closed ones since they were going to hold my rare books, first editions, signed books, etc. I needed a way to keep them from getting dusty or from sitting in the sunlight all day. And, the bookcases had to be short since my thermostat is only about half way up my 10 foot walls. When I saw these online, they were perfect, and I couldn’t wait to get them. The boxes were crazy heavy so I had a friend come over to help me put the bookcases together, and it turned out to be really easy. The first one took about an hour, the second one only about 45 minutes. I love the way they look, and that the shelves are adjustable (the top and bottom ones; the middle shelf is fixed in place). And my favorite part is the sliding doors with a wood panel at the bottom; it’s the perfect place to store things that I want to keep out of sight, but don’t have room for anywhere else. Definitely one of my favorite purchases from Wayfair!

A strong unit that was easy to assemble and secure to the wall on my own within a couple of hours. When assembling I noticed in a few places chipped off painting but once up and used it wasn’t noticeable. Had to shave the skirting board to fit.

This is a lovely piece! It’s attractive, solid, and was reasonably easy to put together...it took me about an hour, and that’s without assistance from other humans (the cats were of no use, either). I had two small issues, which reduced the stars to 4 1) I mangled the second cam trying to tighten it with the same drill I was using to tighten the screw thingys. The drill also popped right through the paper finish on one of the shelves. Word to the wise this wood isn’t really wood, but pressed particle board with a paper finish, and can’t handle power tool cam tightening. Use a screwdriver. There aren’t any extra bits, so if you mangle one of them, your completed bookshelf will have a structural weakness. 2) The two little legs screw into the bottom of the unit. Don’t over tighten these. I did, and one split. I was kind of surprised that there was nothing on the bottom of these to protect your floors, too...it’s just raw wood.

I have honestly loved every purchase I've made on your site and this bookcase is no exception. Beautifully done and exactly as portrayed and described. I'm very pleased with the bookcase and just very pleased with your products in general. The only thing I can think to add as a heads up for future customers would be the instructions of some of the DIY assembly furniture pieces can be a little hit and miss in terms of their clarity. Some are very clear and precise and others are mere pictures that you have to puzzle together. However, when you sit back and look at the quality versus the price you paid you really can't beat it. Rating the bookcase a 4.7 (if that were an option). After all, there's always a little room for improvement. Love shopping your site and I'm sure we'll be back soon!

I have mixed feelings about this shelf. It looks GREAT! It looks just like the picture. The piping is sturdy and heavy- very nice quality, and it was, overall, fairly easy to put together. My biggest con is that the shelves themselves are VERY cheap material. The edges of each shelf are wrapped in plastic that is visible if you look closely (I tried to get a picture!). They are so cheap, I’m hesitant to leave anything heavy on the shelf. For us, this isn’t a huge issue since it’s going in my son’s room for LEGO display, so it meets our needs well. I will say that given how cheap they are, they are textured to feel like real driftwood, which is a plus. Overall, this is perfect for our needs, and I’m pleased with the end result! Here’s a quick recap: Pros: - Solid, heavy piping - Looks beautiful! - Shelves are textured to feel like real driftwood - Straight-forward installation Cons: - Cheap shelf material - I question shelf reliability to hold heavy objects Installation: This is a 2 person job! I have added pictures of our process. Although slightly time consuming, I think it worked well! First, we put the entire shelving unit together. My husband held the shelves on the wall so we could pencil in screw hole placement. We took the shelves down and he added wall anchors. We installed the left side of the piping, made sure it was level, then I unscrewed the shelves from the piping while he held everything in place. We installed the right side of the piping. Finally, we added shelves back on. We had no issues! Hopefully, this helps your decision-making and install process. Happy shopping!

I bought two of these bookcases and I love the way they look in my house. I got the barnwood color and it looks just as it does online. The close up photo shows the real color of the bookcases the other two photos came out a little darker and are more just to show how I set them up in my livingroom. The only downside was that several of the shelves came damaged. However, Wayfair makes it super easy to go online, or call customer service, to report damages and order free replacement parts. I just recently started buying furniture from Wayfair, rather than other companies, because of how easy they make online purchasing. They package their items very well to avoid damages, but if something does come damaged, they are quick to send replacements without any hassle--you just tell them what you need replaced and they send it. I will definitely continue to order furniture from Wayfair for this very reason, plus, I do love their products and have been satisfied with all my purchases thus far!

OMG this is the best little and i say little bookshelf. My son needed a new bookshelf because his floor became a spot once the books of all sizes stopped fitting in his well loved IKEA shelf (2 which were broken from the beginning) the book shelf is awesome no more playing with fixing when boxes don't fit need more room its all screwed into place. WARNING the directions say 1 person make sure you have 2 people because the first direction is screwing 2 shelfs into the center main wall. the big shelves have space for all the tall books (school books, heritage books, and picture books etc.) and the small ones are great for the small books (even dr seuss books will fit in these shelves as well as your regular novels). FYI just remember to read the directions clearly and make sure if you order this shelf the colors go on the inside because it does get confusing putting it together. The nice thing is that its wide enough to fit lots of books but not wide enough it takes too much space which my sons room doesn't have. it does have a wide top so it makes for a great place to put stuff like pictures or glasses etc.

Perfect for my husband's tv, great for storage, and looks great as well. A win/win! .. UPDATE: I have ordered two of these cabinets. The first one came in great shape, so I knew what to expect as far as looks and usage, reason for my review above. I, unfortunately, did not unbox the second one until today. It was damaged in many places, one side of box was ripped and dented which caused dents in several boards and a huge hole in the center toward the edge in one of the thick boards. I took photos, but we put it together (holes, dents, and all) and will try to hide some of the damage with a cloth runner or something. It appears the damage was caused in shipping from the condition of the box, but I am not sure if it left warehouse like that? Love the cabinet, not the damage. I have ordered many, many things from Wayfair, and most have came in great shape. This was a disappointment. We love the first one we ordered and have used it for so many things, reason for the second order. Reason for this update is to note possible shipping problems with carrier? I am past my 30 days for this item's return, but posting some photos, including the delivery photo showing the torn place on the side of box at delivery). This had to have been dropped really hard to create the damage of a hole 2 inches deep into the one shelf. Many places were damaged besides the large hole. Styrofoam pieces still in the hole.

I ordered two. The first one was perfect. Except for one thing ... described later. The second one was temperamental. Had to use wood glue and tape because the wood splintered in a couple of places. Here is the exception and why I did not rate this item with five stars. In the picture, you will see that six of the cubes have a back panel the color of the wood (espresso).... you can actually clearly see the back panel in two of them top left (with books in it) and the empty one on the bottom. When the cubeicals arrived, instead of six 6E pieces that were the size of the cube and the color of unit (expresso), I received six 6E pieces that were half the size of the cube and un-finished (the color of cardboard). The second unit had the same issues with the 6E pieces. The customer service representative checked all reviews and no mention of this issue was found. A set of replacement set of the six 6E pieces was ordered. Alas, they too were un-finished and half the expected size. This was not an issue with Wayfair, rather with the manufacturer.

Relocated across country for work and needed a few bookshelves for decor and lightweight books, so we purchased these. First, it is relatively well made and easy to assemble. It took my husband about twenty minutes per piece for the small ones and thirty or so for the larger one. Second, if you want to purchase the set of three - it was cheaper (by almost $100) to buy them individually instead of as a set. Third, the stickers on the metal are a PAIN to get off. I think it took me close to an hour to do two of the shelves. Goo-gone took part of the finish off, so I switch to Un-do and even then, it look me a long while to get them off. Fourth, the quality is fine - what you would expect for the price. While we have some books on them, they will be mostly for decor - not storage. Fifth, if you are allergic to the fiberglass-ish foam wrap that comes with items made in China, be aware when you are opening the packages. I am highly allergic and had my husband open the boxes in a titled area that we then cleaned the floors. I had rashes on my hands from the packing material that did go away in a day. Sixth, several of our glass pieces arrived with scratches on them already. It was going to be a bigger hassle to return them, so I'm dealing with it and placed those shelves on the bottom and covered them with items. I'm giving it 4 stars for the easy assembly and they do look nice and were what we are going for. In relation to price, I deducted a star for the AWFUL packaging materials, scratches on glass, and very hard to remove sticker material that helped remove the finish in those spots.
