Associate, Physical Retail Merchandising L1

When you walk into a beautifully curated store, can you instantly spot what makes the shopping experience seamless? Do you notice how the details on a product tag or a display sheet can completely change how a customer understands a product's value? If you have an eye for detail, a passion for transforming complex digital data into clear in-store experiences, and the drive to bridge the gap between e-commerce and physical retail, we want to talk to you.

Wayfair is looking for a Merchandising Associate to ensure our in-store customers get the full, premium experience when interacting with our Wayfair Verified products.

In this role, you will be the bridge between our digital storefront and our physical retail spaces. Your mission is to ensure that the rich product stories, quality metrics, and "Wayfair Verified" scales we display online are flawlessly matched in our physical retail team’s 3rd-party management system. You will play a critical role in making sure this high-impact data accurately populates onto the "tear sheets" that store associates use every day to guide and inspire customers in person.

What You’ll Do

  • Align the Omnichannel Experience: Audit the pipeline of product data, ensuring that the website merchandising matches perfectly with the physical retail team’s 3rd-party data system.

  • Optimize the Tear Sheets: Review and influence the data that fuels physical store "tear sheets”, ensuring retail associates have up-to-date, compelling, and accurate product benefits right at their fingertips.

  • Analyze and Audit: Pull data from internal tools (like GBQ/Looker) to track catalog synchronization, flag system discrepancies, and keep workflows moving smoothly.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functional Store Support: Work closely with retail store operations, and technical teams to troubleshoot system integration issues and champion the premium brick-and-mortar customer experience.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 1+ years of relevant work or internship experience (e-commerce, retail operations, or data management preferred).

  • An ability to understand how data moves from an online platform into a 3rd-party retail system.

  • High attention to detail; unafraid of complexity and problem solving

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize projects and multitask to get things done

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across both corporate and store-level teams.

  • High proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets.

  • Ability to travel occasionally to our physical retail store locations to audit merchandising execution and support local teams. Current store locations include Chicago and Atlanta, with exciting future expansion planned for Denver and New York.

  • Experience or familiarity with data visualization and querying tools like GBQ/SQL and Looker, is a plus
