The Performance Management team sits within Wayfair’s Transportation & Delivery organization and provides analytical visibility into how the Wayfair Delivery Network is performing while supporting its evolution into improved offerings. We partner closely with Operations, Product and Engineering teams, Speed & Promise, Planning, and Data Intelligence to build scalable reporting, identify network trends and bottlenecks, unlock new capabilities, and translate performance data into actions for carrier-facing teams.

This role sits close to the operating rhythm of Wayfair’s transportation network: the data, the carrier conversations, the bottlenecks, and the decisions that shape how quickly and reliably customers receive their orders. You’ll have the scope to lead a small team while staying close to the work - building the metrics, narratives, and analytical mechanisms that help our carrier-facing and operations teams act faster.

What You'll do

  • Lead a global team of 2-3 analysts supporting performance management across Wayfair’s global transportation network.

  • Own recurring weekly and monthly business reviews for carrier performance, turning large-scale operational data into clear narratives on trends, root causes, risks, and recommended actions.

  • Build visibility into actual network performance, helping operations teams pinpoint network issues, prepare for carrier conversations, and identify opportunity areas.

  • Analyze speed, reliability, capacity planning, and execution data across large parcel flows in North America and the UK to explain where performance is improving, degrading, or blocked.

  • Develop and iterate on dashboards, KPI frameworks, and reporting mechanisms that make performance insights easier for leaders, operators, and carrier-facing teams to use.

  • Partner with Operations, Carrier Management, Planning & Promise, Data Intelligence, Product, and Technology teams to move from insight to implementation, including defining data needs, surfacing systemic bottlenecks, and supporting scalable visibility improvements.

  • Use AI and automation thoughtfully to reduce manual reporting work, accelerate deep dives, and improve the repeatability and quality of the team’s analytical output.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Analytics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

  • Direct people management experience, including coaching analysts, setting priorities, reviewing analytical work, and developing early-career talent.

  • Strong hands-on analytics experience, including advanced Excel or Google Sheets, SQL or GBQ, and data visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.

  • Experience translating messy operational data into clear business recommendations, root-cause narratives, and decision-ready presentations for senior stakeholders.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, especially with Operations, carrier management, supply chain, logistics, product, technology, or similarly cross-functional partners.

  • Building an execution strategy from a defined business objective, structuring work across multiple workstreams, enabling others to execute, and solving operational problems without routine oversight.

  • Nice to have: Experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, parcel carrier performance, e-commerce operations, large parcel delivery, statistical analysis, Python, R, or practical AI-enabled analytics workflows.
