Best Innerspring Mattresses With Reviews

We love our new Verse mattresses. I was completely torn on what nontoxic mattress to get for our twin beds in our guest rooms. I landed on the Naturepedic Verse and couldn't be happier so hopefully this review helps others make the tough decision! Time: first, I have literally no time on my hands because I am pregnant and have two toddlers at home. The time it took from when we took the mattress out of the box to it being set up on our bed was about two minutes -- and it comes all wrapped up in a vacuum packed box that's light weight, easy to transport around the house, and unseals in under a minute. Comfort: It is comfortable, supportive, and much firmer than our other old coil-based mattresses. Not too firm - just stable. The best part is that when you sit or jump (kids!) on any part of the mattress you don't feel it anywhere else. I thought you could only achieve that through latex but the mechanics inside the Naturepedic coil mattresses work similarly, which is awesome. Protection: There's an excellent warranty on the mattresses so I'm happy to know that despite it not being inexpensive, it's protected for a long time. We've had the Verses for a couple of weeks and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, especially for a kids room or guest room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I love this mattress. He is 6'3" and about 250 pounds. Because he has had back problems in the past, he prefers a firm mattress. I am 5'5" and about 140, and I like a mattress that is on the firm side too but not too firm. I did some research before ordering this one, and although it is a medium, I read an article that said it feels more firm. I'm glad that I took a chance on it, because it is very firm while having enough softness on its top level to still be comfortable. It is perfect for both of us. We have been sleeping great with no issues. I also really like how nice this mattress looks with the grey sides. It is very stylish for a mattress. The stitching is nicely done. It looks like it was made to last. We couldn't be happier with this mattress and highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We switched from a memory foam to this mattress and am very glad we did. The medium firmness is perfect for both of us. My husband normally likes very firm and I prefer soft and this has been an excellent compromise. I find this mattress does not cause me the shoulder problems I had previously because it allows for good movement while still providing the support we need for his back and my neck. We are very happy that when we switch this mattress is also compatible with an adjustable bed. With us getting older that is going to come in very handy and we won't again have to replace a mattress. The platforms were really easy to move by myself but sturdy under the mattress as well. I'm not sure about the lumbar support. I did not notice much difference in support if any and I was rather hoping it would. The material is very soft and fits well within our existing mattress protector. Overall a very comfortable mattress with lots of versatility providing the support we both need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this mattress for about a month, so I feel like I’ve put together a solid list of thoughts. I broke these up into sections. First impressions: The mattress came well-packaged, fully sealed in heavy plastic. After unwrapping it, I didn’t notice any sort of strong scent, or off-gassing, for anyone who might be sensitive. The texture of the mattress is interesting. It reminds me of a thermal undergarment, sort of a waffle pattern. Does it match its description? Yes, in many ways, I think it does. I would agree that this mattress has a medium firmness. It was very warm in the house the day it was delivered, but when I slept, it didn’t retain body heat and make me sweat. Side sleeping and back sleeping: I quite like this mattress for side sleeping. I have inflamed joints from arthritis, but this mattress does not cause me to develop pressure points during the night. I like that it supports the contours of the body, and keeps my back in alignment. I have slept on it less often on my back, but it is comfortable as well. I feel supported, with just enough give to keep my back comfortable. Other thoughts: I do have one small complaint — there are no handles or grippers on the sides to easily maneuver the mattress. That would have been helpful when setting the bed up, or for rotating the mattress on the frame from time to time. This is also my first queen mattress, and it appears to be standard size. No need to purchase deep sheets, as there is no pronounced pillow topper present. I will say that I don’t think this mattress needs a topper, either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We honestly got this mattress for a guest bed. We don't have a lot of room but didn't want to compromise comfort. Boy did we luck up with this mattress. The queen size is more than big enough for an adult couple or several small kids. Yet it is small enough to store in the basement when not in use. We don't have an extra bedroom so we paired this with a slat base system thus the need to store away when not in use. This worked out great for our needs and is soooo much more comfortable than anything else we had to offer. Mattress is plush but not too squishy and comes in at about 12 inches in height. My in-laws were the first to try it and they had nothing but rave reviews. They did not wake up with sore backs like they normally do with their bed. Tried it myself and I want to swap out our king for this one. Love the built-in handles for ease lifting and transporting. Just know that cheaper bedding will not fit this mattress. I mean a queen size mattress cover and pad fit but the sheets did not. Minor complaint since this is a guest bed but wanted to put that out there. To me, that's a good thing because it means the mattress is thick. Love this beauty and can't recommend enough.

Totally did not expect this coil inner spring 8inch mattress to come rolled up sealed in plastic like vacuumed sealed still havnt unwrapped this yet due to not haven set uo the loft bed I purchased to go with it for my 3year old son but from the looks if what I can see it likes like its going to be decent thickness for him an for the loft bed I will be posting pics after unwrapping the mattress as it rises and will also post once he has slept in it on the loft bed frame delivery was very fast

Heavy as heck to take up 3 flights- for a 52 year old (out of shape woman) and 11 year old young man (5’7-34” gentle giant) but we did it. When cutting off the plastic it popped open like an airbag… had to rescue my poor child. It is nice, thick and comfy. I hope it stays that way for a long time! I am one satisfied customer. Looks just like the photo but I put it on the bottom in case it was hard like some reviewers said. Thanks Wayfair and Fed Ex!

Unbelievable!!! This mattress arrived in a very small box and made me wonder if I made the right decision. Opened it up and let it expand and it is so comfortable. If I wouldn't have seen it for myself I would never have believed this mattress came in a box. So happy with my purchase.

Wow! I can't praise this mattress enough. I will caveat that I have only slept on it for less than a week but it is SO PLUSH and feels much more expensive than it was. Big box mattress store mattresses retail for 3x as much as this one and when I laid on them in the mattress store they were no more comfortable than this. I transitioned from a memory foam mattress to this pillow top hybrid and I feel more cushioned and comfortable throughout the night and it feels like it supports my body more than the all memory foam one did. I took a chance on this without many reviews and I am so glad I did. One of my best wayfair purchases.

Had this mattress 4 months. We got it for my husbands horrible stenosis, has had 2 back surgeries and a spinal stimulator implant. Were leery about a “bed in a box” hybrid mattress. What an amazing surprise. No more “wrong mattress pain”. The memory foam doesn’t wrap around you and bounces right back. It is warmer but not hot. Some reviews say people could feel the springs. We do not even know there’s springs. I think they were laying on the wrong side. It has not lost any support and no sinkage. Best mattress I have ever owned. And what a deal.

The packaging for this bed was easy to remove and the size was not excessive. I ordered the full-size mattress with box spring and I found that the job was easy for two smaller adults or possibly one large adult. The exterior of the mattress is pretty. The exterior of the box spring is nice, but I found that one or two staples had torn at the fabric on the underside. That, and the fact that the mattress has no side handles is the only reason for the 4-star review. I placed this on a standard adjustable metal bed frame and find that the firmness is not overwhelming, but nice for someone who has back problems. This was an overall great buy, the price was right and I sleep well on it. I would recommend this to a friend.

This topper is extremely comfortable and made a difference in my sleep. I thought I slept pretty well until I got this. It's just firm enough w/out sinking too much. I'm a side and back sleeper so it's perfect. There was a slight scent when you open it but nothing chemical. Directions say to air it out for 48 hours. Highly recommend.

I love my new mattress I sleep like a baby every night. The height is good if you like tall beds which I do. Great investment! I love that it's the right amount of firm. I don't know how but they managed to make the mattress firm but cloud-like at the same time. Truly chefs kiss :*

Wasn't sure how I was going to like this since I wasn't able to test it out first but it's exactly what I was looking for. I needed something easy for me to deal with considering I was moving 10 hours away from home. I had the mattress delivered right to my new apartment and it got there a few hours after I did. As soon as I opened the compression bag the mattress rose almost to full height immediately. It is a little more firm than I like, however, I am typically used to a pillow top mattress. What I needed was something quick, cheap, QUALITY and comfortable...I got everything I was looking for! I did add a mattress topper to this only because I had one and it made it seem more like a pillow top mattress, but I never would have purchased one if it wasn't already in my closet. The bed is extremely comfortable. I don't know if I would plan to use this long term (I am starting grad school and really just looking to use it over the course of the next 2-3 years) but it is definitely perfect for what I need right now.
