Best Hampers & Laundry Baskets With Reviews

I was looking for a laundry basket that would slide under the make-up area of my wife's sink. This fits perfectly. When it is full I just take the bag off the rack and bring it downstairs to the laundry area. It unhooks quickly. This bag has the same fasteners that I use to secure covers on my screen porch in Minnesota for the winters. I mention this because the fasteners have lasted for years on those covers in the dead of winter so I believe they will last years on this.

I would have given this awesome item the full five stars except it arrived pretty significantly bent around the opening edge (maybe happened during shipping . I don’t know and I’m not sure how because this item appears to be very sturdy and well made.) i have not notified seller yet and will change if appropriate but I do want to say that this is a very cool item! If my husband can get it all straightened out, then it’s going to make the perfect addition to our new home (I was thinking I’ll roll my bath towels and display them in this. I’ll post a picture. Edit 2 years later upping to 5 starts from 4! These things are workhorses- still look just as new are somehow a bit quieter now. My initial complaint of the handles being not the most comfortable seems silly now as I don’t even remember the last time noticing it. Redid our custom closet storage designed around the hampers lol. Great buy! Purchased 2 to try out have only had them a few weeks, but have rolled them back and forth across the house on hard floors just about every day to the laundry room holding up like new. Roll easily, if a bit loud so dont roll quickly after kids are asleep if your house echoes. Removable, replaceable (our older drawstring laundry bags by 2 different other companies fit inside great!), *washable* bags were my1 priority because I loathe germsmildewmold. We just toss the bags in the washer 1xweek. We keep ours in a large hallway closet, but itll fit under a bathroom vanity where a chair is typically kept. 1 star deducted only bc I have very sensitive hands the thin metal coil handles arent the most comfortable, but thats coming from a super picky person. Great buy.

This is super durable. One less star because is smells of horrible chemicals for a couple of days. Air it out when it arrives. The thick rope handles slide through holes in the sides, so it's easy to keep them out of the way when not needing to pick up the basket. I chose this one because it had the best reviews for staying upright with or without stuff in it, and I am not disappointed. Wish it game in other colors. The beige works for a nice neutral look. I'm using it to store exercise clothing, towels, and some light equipment. Definitely holds a lot while keeping its shape.

Love this laundry holder. We bought the one with shelves for our bedroom, and this one for the laundry room. Just rotate the bags to the laundry room when full and we always have bags available for dirty clothes. I did push down too hard to try to fit more things in a bag once and the wheel split through the wood. I fixed it with a little wood glue, clamps and side support pieces of wood. Good as new. Attached a picture, as some people mentioned they had a similar issue and now it's "un-usable". Other than that and one bag that is coming unsewn a bit (again, fixable), this system has worked wonderfully for us for two years now, so I'm still giving five stars.

Update 5/9/22: Still using them! 1 of 2 units started to separate at the center divider causing the left basket to fall out all the time (base wouldn’t stay connected). We tried gluing the wood divider where it’s supposed to be, but that didn’t work. Instead, we added a wood screw into the base up through the center divider where it needed to sit to allow that tension around the left basket. Now the basket stays up just fine. Update 10/6/19: still love it! We purchased a second for more space and use them as accent tables in our small living space. We LOVE our hamper. We got the brown one and it matches our decor beautifully, doesn’t look like a hamper so goes well in the living room of our small apartment (close to our hidden washer and dryer in the kitchen), and it’s helping us maintain our goal of doing laundry more often bc of the small bag size. However, we did decide to buy a second one so we can sort clothes into four baskets. Will use them as side tables in the living space.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the description— would it really be big enough for towels and sheets? My plan was to put these hampers in the closets of two studios I am AirBnb-ing so the cleaners don’t have to handle dirty laundry, and they can keep all my stuff together easily in one load that gets washed with the liner. It’s working out pretty sweet. I had to buy separate liners (the hamper only comes with one) that don’t fit quite as nicely so my only recommended improvement to this product would be to offer additional liners for purchase.

I love that this sorter has 4 separate bags to sort laundry. We do delicates, lights, darks, and towels/bedding. I like the size of the bags; just about right for the size loads I like to run. I didn't end up putting the wheels on because I can easily take one bag out and carry it to the laundry room, but it is nice to have the option to wheel the whole thing there if I wanted to install them. The only downside is the laundry sorter is not very attractive. Since it lives inside my closet, it doesn't really matter, but I wish the color of the bags or the metal frame were a little more interesting, or at least black and white. Also, the bags don't hang as nicely/perfectly as they do in the photos, but that's to be expected. Functionality is great, though!

so I've had this sorter for about 3 or 4 years. for the most part there are no major complaints. however the velcro can get a little messy,be careful washing the bags and be careful how you maneuver it. Otherwise it's been super convenient and I've never had a load that was too heavy for it to move properly. I like that I can remove each bag and wash the clothing or I can leave it in the laundry room and use it to roll around closer to the machines. as you can see from the photo the poles do sometimes come out of the holes. But that's usually because your lotus either too heavy, you're not moving it correctly or it just needs to be jammed in a little tighter. I definitely recommend playing around with it for a couple of days and then once you have it how you like it then take something heavy and secure the poles into place. Full disclosure they had to send me a second one right after I ordered the first one because a piece was missing but other than that it was simple to put together and I'm actually surprised this has lasted as long as it has.

This laundry center was a very handy, clever thing to start using in our household. We have a small laundry room with no storage or room for a hanging pole. We also don’t want to give up space in bathrooms or bedrooms for hampers. So, we each drop our daily laundry directly in this unit, in bins for darks, lights, etc. That means that all of our laundry is pre-sorted and ready for washing. Then, when things come out of the dryer, the hanging stuff goes right back on the same unit. I know my teenager is going there to drop off his dirty laundry every day, and then he just picks up his clean stuff from the rack and brings it back to his closet. Very efficient. When we’re not doing laundry, this unit just slides easily on its wheels into the laundry room, waiting for the next laundry drop-off or washing session. This was very simple to assemble, and the shipping box was lighter than I expected. This unit is very light, and I have questions about how sturdy it will remain, but it is doing great right now. I think that using it actually made the pieces fit tighter together than they were when I first built it, so it doesn’t feel as fragile as when it was brand new. This has been one of my favorite things I have added into our daily routine to simplify our lives.

It was fairly easy to put together and looks wonderful in my bathroom. I can fit a whole laundry load of tiles in it. It comes with screws to anchor to the wall which would be a good idea although I have not done that (it would require I take off the baseboard and cut it in around the hamper which I really don't want to do) If you have children I would recommend anchoring it; my husband and I can be careful. The cloth insert removes easily to transfer the whole load to the laundry room.

Nice looking hamper. It does have a wood piece that you need to assemble at the bottom of the hamper, and a wire that you attach to the top of the hamper to give it support. It would have been good if it had directions because I was attempting to put the wire at the bottom of the hamper and it took me a while to get it right. Otherwise, I am happy with the final product.

We saw the reviews before purchasing and liked the dual brown colors (dark & light) of this wicker hamper. It comes in a nice large cardboard box and Wayfair sends you information about the delivery from the moment of purchase until it is at your door (we selected this option). The hamper is as described with two sections and internal "bags". The size is perfect for us (two of us) and it fit nicely in the area we placed it. All in all a very nice product and delivery of the item!

I bought this for my son at university... main reasons why I picked it is that it has solid walls (makes it stand properly and easy to pull out the bags filled with laundry), has large enough openings (12"x13.5") for him to just throw it in and the two sides allow for convenient sorting. Once a bag is full, time to take it to the machine to wash. I don't see him using the lid much BUT it is conveniently stored simply by flipping the lip the other way around (front has magnet closure, back side full strip of velcro) and if he needs to 'hide a mess' it quickly reverses to a complete cover. While the foldable feature isn't normally used it is convenient in particular for students who tend to move a lot and may need to store their items at times. It's easy to 'assemble' - unfold the hamper sides to create a rectangle, insert the center panel in to the dividing pocket, add lid and bags. (no tools needed) Right out of the bag it most definitely has that MDF smell (all sides, divider and lid are MDF covert with woven fabric)... but it dissipates after some time. I will admit I'm not a big fan of the mesh bags... would prefer them to be solid fabric and will sew my own... but for all non-sewers they do function perfectly fine and again make it easy to take a load to the laundry facility (while the other waits until full). I actually really like this hamper. It was not that easy to put together however. There was a good size crack inside the front panel. It did not go all the way through thankfully, but I question the integrity of the panel with that crack. I used wood glue to seal it so hopefully it will hold well. The back panel had some dents and rubbed off paint. Since it's in the back so no big deal really... While putting it together some of the locking nuts wouldn't catch and actually lock in. I used wood glue with all the dowels and some of the joints to help make it stronger. It's been a couple weeks and ll seems to be good. I love the inner bag with the metal handles. It makes carrying laundry downstairs much easier. Overall this is a good purchase and I am happy with it.

Love the price. Love the look. I needed a triple hamper since I like to divide my clothes by: gym clothes, dirty clothes, and clothes I can wear again (like jeans). I like that this one doesn't have mesh bags, which for me wouldn't work since the smells and ick would cross contaminate. These bags, while thin, feel sturdy and well made. The wire handles have little antiskid pieces on the ends so the bags don't slide around. The frame itself is also very well made and once assembled, does not feel flimsy at all. The only thing negative I would say is that the bags had an odor to them that was strong enough that I threw them in the wash. Not a big deal though. All in all, it is exactly what I needed. Also, Wayfair had my order at my door in just 2.5 days. Wicked.

Five stars just isn't enough for this hamper - more like five times one-hundred! I am THRILLED with these hampers! They are a high quality bamboo and very very sturdy. And talk about easy to put together! They're a good size, but, you know, I'd even think a size up would be just perfect. I have lots of people in this household so a larger size would do me just fine. And, you know, these hampers are even pretty. You could almost set them out in the hall or something instead of having to hide them behind a door or in a closet. I'm just nothing but impressed! In fact, I'm impressed by all of the products I've purchased on your site so far. I do a lot of ordering from those other online sites and they haven't impressed me half as much as you all have. You've always given me just what I expected...and more! These hampers though. You'll love these hampers!

I checked out the negative reviews prior to ordering and I did not have any of the issues a few others had. The hamper arrived in excellent condition and was well packaged. All the required parts were in the box and all holes were properly drilled and it fit together perfectly. It can be taken apart easily if by chance someone puts all four sides together and they realize they have forgotten to slide the bottom piece in. This did not happen to me but to a friend of mine. Yeah, thats it, to a friend of mine. It comes with a tool to put it together but I would recommend using ones own Phillips screwdriver. Some complained about the quality. Keep in mind this is not a high end piece of furniture. It is put together using the cams like those cabinets they sale that you put together yourself. It is also similar quality as those cabinets and I have four of them in the garage. I put those up in 1998 and theyre still going strong. The hamper assembles easily and it looks great. There was a strong paint smell when I first unpackaged the hamper but it only lasted a day. I ordered the white hamper and the paint job looks great. The negative reviews mentioned falling apart when moved. I dont intend on moving mine but I conducted multiple tests to see if it would come apart. Mine did not. Since this is put together using cams you need to be sure you properly lock the pieces in place. If they are not locked in place then of course it will fall apart when moved. I am very satisfied with my purchase and got exactly what I expected for the price. As far as the capacity you have to keep in mind that it has a cloth bag suspending inside the hamper so the measurements could be misleading if you are trying to figure out the capacity. The actual bag size is 19 wide x 11 deep x 20 high. I would recommend this hamper to anyone looking for a good looking hamper at a reasonable price.
