Best Duvet Covers & Sets With Reviews

Purchased this duvet to stand up to our 100 lb dog’s daily zoomies in which he sprints and leaps onto our bed and then whips around to run back down the stairs and does it all over again for several minutes. Totally amazed to say this this has held up for nearly a year at this point with *no* signs of tearing or damage whatsoever! We’ve gone through 4 different duvets in 3 years prior to this, so this one has outperformed the others by far! It gets squeaky clean in the wash and it’s remained buttery soft the entire time we’ve had it. We switch out the comforter inside based on the season since this duvet tends to run a little warmer - it’s the type of fabric that doesn’t breathe really well (which is probably why it’s stands up to the daily beatings from our dog so well). Really happy with this purchase and definitely would recommend!

This is my very first duvet cover, which I bought for my very first down alternative comforter. I purchased the blue color. It may be because I've cheaped out on comforter sets before now, but I am so impressed! It's lovely and soft, softer than I expected. It's almost a silky kind of texture, but breathes well enough that I'm sure it'll stay cool in the summer. I love the pattern, of course... That's the main reason I bought it :-) The shames are nice too; they fit my king size pillows well and they have openings just a few inches from the edge of the pillowcase instead of in the middle (which I personally like). Two things worth mentioning - 1. At least with the king size cover, I do find my comforter slides around a lot. Even with the ties secured. Usually what happens is the comforter will get more bunched toward the bottom of the cover, so I end up with a few inches of cover up top with no fluffy comforter :-( It's really not a *huge* deal; I'm sure it wouldn't even bother most people, but I'm a little nuts about stuff like that. I'm frequently adjusting it so everything lines up properly. If I could, I might deduct .25 stars for that. 2. This might just be me, and I know a lot of other reviews call it a "denim" color (which is what I wanted), but I don't really think it looks like denim in most lighting. It's true that on my monitor, the pictures I took do look like the product picture, but in real life I think it's a little bit lighter blue. I also thought (for some reason) that the light side was kind of a cream or ivory, but it's really quite white. Looking at the product photo now I suppose I can see that, so I'm not knocking off any points. Overall I do recommend this! It's a great set, especially for the price.

Gave it five stars because for the price it was great. Soft material. Its not slide off the bed soft. The pattern is nicer in person. The color is vibrant. Washed it and still kept the feel and color. Did not bleed onto other lighter colors or the white side. I think it was great for the price they sell it for. So its a good bargain. Has toes to hold the insert. Its great for Florida nights. Does not make you hot when covered. I really liked it.

Giving this 4 stars instead of 3 because I read the reviews and knew I was hedging my bets. I bought the warm/grey color (not pictured) because from some older review photos this looked closer to what I wanted than the cool/grey that was pictured. Which I'm guessing after all the negative feedback on the earlier reviews that the grey color of the duvet did not match the grey color pictured (more of a toupe than grey), they must have corrected that with a later order. Thus creating a separate listing for a warm/grey that isn't pictured so they could hopefully sell thru the miscolored product eventually. Enter me, ready to assist! Well it did end up being a toupe - which is great!! But the tufted flower design sheads like crazy. So, I washed it hoping that would help. And although it did in the end, while it was drying it completely filled up my lint tray and there was a slight burning smell coming from my dryer. So that was a little worrisome! Also like other people mentioned, it gets hella wrinkled after washing. Overall, I still kinda love the way it turned out. I'll live with the wrinkles and now that most of the loose tufting has released itself - I hopefully won't have to worry about a future dryer fire :)

Beautiful duvet cover. The material is nice and heavy and has a nice design. It is not a pure white, but more of an off-white. It fits well on my 106 x 92 comforter. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it does shed. I washed it immediately when I received it and it shed so much in the dryer - I actually had to stop and clean out the lint catcher 4 times (see the attached photo. The apple is next to the fluff for size comparison. I've never had something shed so much in the dryer before.) It still sheds a bit but I'm hoping that as I continue washing/drying it, the extra fluff will just dissipate and won't be an issue. Overall, it is a beautiful duvet cover and I'm glad I bought it.

Very good price, so you should expect a lighter weight material ... durable so far (two nights), but thin. Since I’m using it to cover a staunch down-comforter, I’m predicting the duvet and the comforter will get along well through the years. I like the flecks in the sage green vertical stripes — subtle, pleasing, and a nice complement to the stronger green details of my drapes and valances. The fit is good, the little tie-strings seem to work to secure the two components. That said, a big boooooo for the zipper. It’s a great idea, but with its flimsy nylon guides with their accompanying minuscule baby teeth, the poor little zip only made it about halfway through its very first closing before the two tracks fell apart. I’ve seen some moms and dads just re-track these things like they do for a kid’s snow pants. If I can’t locate a remarkable person like that I’ll bring it to my local tailor for buttons and buttonholes. Even with that addition, it seems a good deal at 35 dollars or whatever the Mayfair sale price was. All in all, I’m happy and I‘ll confidently throw away my old duvet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t even know where to start! I love this boho print duvet and shams! It will look nice in an boho and modern design room. Definitely can fit a wide range. My mom was really impressed that it is 100% cotton and doesn’t have harmful substances or chemicals in the fabric! As far as putting it on, it is a little bit of work to figure out at first. I was looking everywhere for the opening to put in the down comforter. It is a button up and they are well concealed! I can see why some people in reviews were confused and said it’s very thin, it’s like a sheet, blah blah. They just don’t realize you need to add your own fluffy comforter inside. And they have little ties in each corner and my comforter had a loop to wrap the ties around. Once you figure that all out and get the correct corners to each side, the hard work is done haha the fabric is see through, so if your pillows have a print on them like some of mine, I recommend putting a white pillow case, then the shams over it. Just so you can’t see the pillows print through it. It will shed a bit and leave some dust but it says it’s only for the first few washes. Overall, I’m happy with it and think it looks really nice. The gray color also looks super nice as well as the taupe. I just went for white since I wasn’t sure which room it will be in. I’ll probably use it in different rooms.

The duvet set cotton feels very soft. It really is a strikingly beautiful design. I purchased this in the blue. It looks so pretty that I decided to do a four part painting to match (see photo). I also purchased a navy blue sheet set, navy blue bed skirt, a blue/white/gray rug and a small round white bedside table all from Wayfair to completely transform the room. I painted the walls gray, painted our old wooden bedroom furniture bright white, and added some navy blue blackout curtains. The purchase of this duvet set caused a huge amount of work, but it was well worth it. Absolutely loving the refurbished guest bedroom!

After living in a friend's spare bedroom for five years and a bunkhouse overseas prior to that, I built a house last year and moved in with my puppy, and an inflatable mattress for furniture. I've since ordered lots of furniture and bedding. I'm so glad I found Wayfair; however, I'm fashion sense-challenged. I liked the green plaid duvet I originally ordered (I didn't even know what a duvet was 8 months ago, now I have 5!), but I've opted for red curtains and caramel-colored paint for the walls; I'm going for a modern farmhouse look. This red/gray duvet is perfect on both sides. I usually just place the pillowcase shams on top of the pillows, but these are soft and could be slept on. No one but me and Tuukka (my pup) see my furnishings, but it's a good feeling to get things to match somewhat. Thank you, Wayfair.

Not gonna lie, I’m not one of them fancy folks with duvet covers for every season and my insert is just a comforter I already had lol. Wasn’t sure I’d like the white color. I have animals… 4 of the 6 spend more time on my bed than I do. (I have a cover blanket that goes over the duvet just for that reason). My favorite part is all of the different designs and textures.. there’s a quilted look, rouched look, colored dots, and then the white raised dots. I thought for sure it would be uncomfortable but surprisingly it’s pretty gently to the touch. It comes with two accent pillows which I like cuz I won’t spend money on extra small pillows for decoration. It also has two quilted pillow covers and two duvet cover matched covers. That’s a lot of pillows!!! Some people complained about the color sort of yellowing, but I didn’t have that issue. You can see in the pictures that it’s pretty darn white. Of course, I washed it before I put it on my bed and it held up fine. Not grays, loose stitching, or seam holes in cover. I would definitely look into this product line again when I want another bed set. *thumbs up*

I love the deep olive color I chose. It washed well. ***** If you dry it without cramming the dryer with a bunch of stuff, on a low heat setting and remove it and lay it flat right away, you won't get wrinkles, as a rule ***** I use wool dryer balls, also. People complain, but they aren't doing it right! JUST the duvet cover and shams and NOTHING ELSE, and take it out *before the dryer stops* and either lay it flat, fold it or put it on the bed! Don't just put it in a heap someplace. I did deduct 1 star because one of the shams did have a weird wrinkle on the edge as if it was sewn wrong, but I was able to get it out by dampening it and ironing the spot with a steam iron. It was only a small area. I like the fabric - *** It ISN'T SCRATCHY *** ! I think maybe the reviewers who said it is scratchy probably didn't wash it right? Use cool water - delicate cycle - and I added 1/2 cup of vinegar to the wash water, used HALF the normal amount of detergent I usually use, and added 3/4 of a cap of softener to the rinse. Trust this much - I tell it like it is and if it was wrinkled or scratchy, I would totally SAY SO.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cotton waffle weave fabric is surprisingly soft and smooth. It feels comfy against my skin, and it provides a relaxing sleeping experience. The waffle weave design with decorative wood buttons gives it a unique appearance. The set comes with one duvet cover and two matching pillow shams, providing a cohesive look for our bedroom. Please note that after washing the duvet cover, it gets wrinkly by the flap where the wooden buttons are attached to. You will have to steam the wrinkles out since the manufacturer recommends not to iron. One other issue to notate is that the fabric color is white but it not bright white! When I made the bed with this new set, it was more of an ivory white color compared to my other pillowcase & duvet cover which was bright white.

Updated review: This is a relatively inexpensive microfiber duvet cover and in this case, the quality is reflective of the price. I believe this duvet cover is of decent value (If value is what you are looking for, this definitely works.) I have received a few compliments regarding the colour, texture and style. It is a soft microfiber, with a nice, feminine, pretty colour and simple but attractive design. It lays nicely on the bed and the insert fits and stays well. After a few washes it has 'relaxed' a bit, the colour is still pretty and there are a few loose thread but it is still soft and holding up nicely. I continue to use this duvet cover in the guest bedroom where it wont get as much wear and tear as if I was using it in one the main bedrooms. It is not high end quality like some of the other brands however I believe if you treat it gently and use sparingly, it will be money well spent.

I ordered the fullqueen in light pink for my mother’s queen size adjustable bed to go over Wayfair’s queen size down alternative medium weight comforter. Both items arrived promptly. Initially I was disappointed in the lightweight fabric but soon realized that the duvet cover really couldn’t be any thicker or it would’ve added too much weight to the comforter that was already heavy and difficult for either of us to manipulate. After a few weeks I learned a few tricks and bed-making became a breeze. The duvet cover is pure cotton and therefore has a crinkly, wrinkled, shabby chic appearance. I suppose ironing would take away the wrinkles, but there’s not a snowball’s chance in Hades that I was going to iron that much material! I really grew to like the natural appearance of the duvet cover and Mom loved it instantly. The two shams completed not only the look of the bed, but the whole master bedroom. I didn’t iron the shams either. The reason I ordered a comforter and duvet cover in the first place was because of the adjustable bed. The winter bedspread ran the risk of being caught in the moving parts of the adjustable bed frame so a comforter was in order. The duvet was the icing on the cake! I like that the duvet had lots of ties to secure it to the comforter. Otherwise, straightening out the two components every morning would have been too much of a chore. This duvet has been worth every penny.

It is soft and exactly as pictured! I love it! It is lightweight and has ties in the corners to keep the comforter in place and a zippered bottom. It brightens up our room so much! Haven’t put on the other pillow shams yet because the quilt we bought I have to return so that much pattern on pattern would be a bit much. It will normally be turned down. I was so excited when I got it I threw it right into the wash and didn’t see this stain until it came out (I know it wasn’t from me though as I had just finished a load of reds! Haha). Thankfully it is only one side, so I will attempt to treat it and if it doesn’t come out it will always be that side down. I know Wayfair would replace it... I just didn’t want to wait to have this on our bed!

So comfortable. Before this I had a linen-cotton blend set that I loved and finally I decided to make the leap to 100% linen. Unfortunately, 100% linen is so expensive! I looked all over until I came across this set which has great reviews -- and they're right. This set is comfortable right out of the box, no washing needed to soften it up, though from the other reviews it sounds like it will get even softer. It has a very bright white color. Like all linen it can wrinkle easily, but I like the look, it seems comfortably rumpled. I do wish there were ties inside, but my last set didn't have them either and the duvet doesn't seem to move around too much. If you have been looking for a linen set at a great price, you can't go wrong with this one.

I bought the queen set and it is balanced on both sides of the bed so you can see from the pictures how far it hangs down. I have a 14” mattress and 5” box spring and I think it would cover both if the wood wasn’t there to cover it. It is super soft and my son LOVES how it feels. I spent a lot of money in my house on other things, but this bedding was very affordable comparatively. AND it may be my favorite because it’s so comfortable. It has ties in the four corners to hold the duvet. Make sure you get a duvet that has the loops to tie this cover to. The pillows are inserted from the back and flap over in the middle. The color is a true white and charcoal grey. The only thing it could have improved is fill the pillow edges with some stuffing to make it a little less floppy. I recommend this to anyone! Very impressed!

Ordered this for our guest bedroom in the teal color, queen size. It is really soft, comfy and the color is rich and vibrant. The price was also really good for the quality and compared to other duvet covers I have purchased in the past. I have washed it twice well and it holds the color well, stays soft and has not shrunk. I had not paid attention when I purchased but the queen sized duvet is oversized, which I actually really like as you can use an oversized comforter (queen xl in our case). The existing comforter we had was just a regular queen so there is little extra room in the duvet, but it does not look bad IMO. Just take note of sizes when you are ordering if that is something you are concerned about. Odds are for me I will probably replace my comforter for a larger one anyway as it is down, several years old and probably time to replace with a synthetic one. I like knowing I can fit a queen xl as I think it would look good on the bed to have a larger one that drapes more and just gives more coverage for two people sleeping.

Just the look I was going for! I purchased this comforter in the light grey. Goes perfect with the beachy theam I have in my room. Lots of off white and light greys. The outer side is extremely soft while the inside feels like a separate comforter in and of itself. I can promise you this... Its hot! My husband is very happy while I, on the other hand, am constantly kicking it off and covering up with just the sheet... But thats how it is with anything I cover up with. No so with the hubby. Until now, he was piling on the blankets! Now, its just one comforter! Another great purchase from Wayfair!
