I love this chair! My 83 year old mother had been rocking in the same chair for years, at least since my dad passed 11 years ago. It was worn and tattered but it was from dad so I didn't know how she would respond when after countless please to come with me and let me replace her chair, she repeatedly refused. I took it upon myself to order this chair and have it delivered to her home. She absolutely loves it! It's sturdy. It's comfortable beyond words, the fabric is plush, and my favorite quality is how chic it is. She couldn't wait to send her old chair to the curb (well, my curb because she was embarrassed for the old chair in front of her house). My mother's chair is an integral part in her life as it is where she rests between her short errands, her cooking and her cleaning. I scored a hone run with this chair! The item came to us with a crack in the moving mechanism piece of the chair. Fortunately Wayfair has great customer service and they shipped us a brand new one for no additional cost. The assembly wasn’t terribly hard and the second one arrived in perfect condition. It’s fairly comfortable and works well. I was doing my fair bit of shopping and wanted a more contemporary looking glider for our room. This one looked nice and it was on sale so I bit the bullet. I was surprised to find the glider on my front porch two days after I placed the order. It shipped pretty compact and arrived in one box. SETUP: You do have to assemble it but putting it together was a breeze. There were only two pieces and after I lined up the backrest with the base seat, sliding it in was not difficult. You have to make sure you hear the clicks once the hardware was in place. When I did it, only one had clicked and I just had to push the other side a little harder to get it click. There is a fabric cover that you need to stretch tight to attach to the velcro under the chair frame. THOUGHTS: The chair looked awesome and fit the decor of our room. The glider was really comfortable and the rocking and turning action were very smooth and quiet. Wifey also gave me props for picking a good color. The fabric looked nice and looked like the more expensive ones you would find at West Elm or Pottery Barn. Needless to say, I know where I'm sitting for movie night!. Beautiful fabric and comfortable. It was a little difficult to snap the wings to the back but we managed and it made for a tight, secure fit. Definitely a two person lift to move the shipping box or to carry the chair. It is VERY heavy. The low arms are really nice to be able to nurse and bottle feed and gave us room to use a boppy. My only complaint is that at 5.5’ not quite tall enough from keeping the chair from rocking too forward. We solved it by also buying a poof for me to put my feet on.
