Arrival was fast and timely. The delivery guys hired by Wayfair was very nice as well. They removed all packaging before bringing the refrigerator into my house and discarded the trash. Once inside my home I noticed I had a dent ding at the top on the left side door. The delivery guy stated he could give me a 100 gift card. Although the refrigerator was fairly priced, I wasn’t satisfied with the offer and suggested we contact Wayfair to discuss. The delivery guy called them and explained the situation, without any questions I was offered 400 off, which I accepted to avoid sending the refrigerator back. I am very pleased with my purchase so far. The manual stated to allow 24 hours to cool before adding food (I did just that) but it cooled pretty quickly within a couple hours, the refrigerator was cold. The refrigerator looks nice and was the only brand type that fit the depth of my small space in kitchen. From my back of wall to the front counter measured 23”-25” inches deep. This refrigerator was perfect and does not intrude on the doorway into the kitchen from dining like other refrigerators would have. It looks nice and is very tall, 70”-71” in height. It’s a narrow refrigerator, not very wide which is fine with me as I have space to clean on both sides. If you have little kids be mindful of fingerprints. I noticed that right away. It is not fingerprint resistant. My rating is based on the refrigerator combined with the customer service received by Wayfair and their contracted delivery guy(s).

Nice design, inside and outside.
As a mid-sized fridge/freezer combo unit, I really prefer the way this one has a shelved freezer section below the fridge, making the more often used fridge part very comfortable to access. This is an attractive unit with a very finely brushed stainless, anti fingerprint finish that is flawless. Door mounting is possible both ways with included hardware to do so. The way it came, hinged to the right met my preference, so that was good. Interior design is very practical and makes good use of available space in this counter depth unit. Everything appears that it promises durability in the long term. Ours is placed in the garage as an auxiliary refrigerator, and so far has worked fine. Hot weather just around the corner will test the mettle of the unit, but the walls and ceiling are well insulated and we're looking into a portable a.c. unit for the space. The Haier is pretty quiet, but ours is making some weird sounds occasionally that I can only describe as very faint gurgling sounds, not unlike what the human body produces in fact. It's not objectionable per se, just a bit disconcerting, really only a very minor and inconsequential thing. But it's there. Love the pull out drawers in the freezer, making organizational planning a snap.External controls for the temperature setting function are nicely designed. Also, the doors close easily and very securely, with almost too much magnetic attraction. Better too much than not enough, is what I think. So, it's a positive review for the last 2 months of ownership. Oh, and the handle-less indents for opening the doors are just right, and makes for a really svelte looking appliance, if that's o.k. to say. Cooling has been perfect, and we like to keep food nearly freezing, and the frozen temp to keep ice cream very firm. So we're happy with the fridge, even with the relatively high price at the outset.

Do your homework - then choose this.
Our old (vintage 1980) GE fridge, which came with our way older house, was still managing to provide essential services, but we didn't want to be caught up short when it gave out, so we planned & saved and then did a lot of homework, because neither of us has ever had to purchase a fridge before. After Consumer Reports and many review & rating sites, taking into account the very specific measurements of the available kitchen space, this is where we landed, happy to find that without search bias we got to stick with an American-made product we could purchase from a local small business. Our priorities were: to fit it in the same footprint, with equal or greater interior space, bottom-freezer French door, filtered icemaking & chilled filtered water (without caring about thru-door dispensers - just one more potential breakdown), Energy Star, temperature monitoring & adjustment, adjustable & spillproof shelving. This unit has it all. I was hoping to keep it under $2k, but this was the size that made the best use of the footprint, and we got a helpful little GE rebate. Features that surprised us or exceeded expectations: Amazing interior "showcase" lighting; ability to choose the climate of each climate drawer independently (can set both the same if you want); the way the clear shelves & drawers let light in everywhere; ability to level the unit and adjust each door to compensate for floor wonkiness; beverage can rack in the TempSelectZone drawer (the full-width one); space adjustability options in the freezer. Now - my husband & I have differing opinions about the bottom freezer, which is admittedly heavy when loaded & seals very well when closed so that it takes a tug to open: He doesn't like having to bend to open & access it; I'm the one with the spine disease, & I'm used to approaching bend/lift situations with proper body mechanics. Given that nothing -in- the freezer is very heavy, the ice is on the top shelf & you can use the bottom one for anything heavy or infrequently used, if you just remember to plant your feet, center your gravity, & use both hands equally, it's a smooth little dance that's easy to get used to. The freezer is slightly smaller in sqftage than our old one, but it is full-width, which is really nice for those occasional wide items. Some reviewers have said (1) the fridge materials feel cheap and (2) the construction feels rickety. I would respond that (1) that's the nature of the kind of plastic that is most durable for decades below zero, and (2) the structure has to have some play in it in order to survive decades of below-zero mechanical stresses, like buildings in earthquake zones. One design aspect I find difficult to work with is the slope of the rear wall of the freezer drawer, but I also can't think how the space could be designed better. I also wish the default leveling tilted slightly to the rear in order to help the doors close on their own, but I'm sure I can adjust this if I want, and at least all the doors are alarmed. Overall I'm very happy with it so far. A few years down the road, I'll update with long-term performance.

Sexiest Refrigerator Ever
There are so many features of this fridge that I adore. Sure, it does cost a pretty penny. But totally worth it. 1. It is worth noting that I purchased the matte black and the appearance, while gorgeous is really more of a super dark matte charcoal grey. Oh darn, guess I'll have to get the rest of the appliances in this set to match. ;-) 2. My fridge is layed out that it open right to a wall. It was one of my biggest pet peeves that my old fridge would swing shut because it couldn't hold the door open if it wasn't able to swing out the full distance. This fridge does not do that. The door stays open on its own. Great feature to have. 3. The lighting inside isn't obnoxious and cheap feeling. It is well covered and gorgeous. I've never wanted to open my fridge to look inside more. Not to mention the pattern on the backlit wall...in love. So chic and modern. 4. The hints of rose gold everywhere make it feel so expensive and elegant. Handles are super sturdy and assembly of everything was a breeze. Took less than 10 minutes. 5. Middle drawer is a game changer. We keep meat and cheese in here and beyond the organization part of it, which is great because now all my unsightly items are in this drawer, the practicality of being able to set that drawer to a slightly cooler temp for those items keeps everything fresher longer! 6. Crisper has been keeping my veg fresher I'd say for an additional 3 or 4 days. Which may not sound like a lot but its the difference between be getting through a whole bag of spinach or having to throw it out and waste it. 7. The freezer drawer tops everything though. The 3 compartment system is the BEST! My freezer has traditionally been a heap of mess with organization that just can't be maintained. This freezer holds a ton and my organization method with it is to keep meat on the bottom, flatish boxes like pizza or mashed cauliflower in the middle compartment and all my veg and fruit on the top. It is amazing!! 8. Lastly, the ice/water dispenser in the door. When you run the water it tells you how many ounces you are dispensing on the digital read out while it dispenses, essentially allowing you to never need a measuring cup for water again. Very nice. Only beef is I wish I could dispense ice or water while the other door is open. I like to multitask! lol Overall, highly recommend. Only issue we have had thus far is that the crisper drawer on the right has an extra little seal to help with humidity and when you close it you have to just make sure that seal sits right on the drawer or it doesn't close the entire way. Not really an issue for us but worth noting. Also, the wifi feature is a nice extra touch (we didn't even realize it had this feature until it arrived) but honestly we don't use the app that much. It just tells you the temp of each compartment and allows you to adjust if you want and if the ice maker is full and allows you to turn on and off. Probably the most helpful feature on it is that it tells you the status of your water filter and allows you to purchase a refill on the app. Kinda nice.

Great size & all features needed
Since this refrigerator had the same features as my previous one, was willing to wait a month for it and it was worth it! Pros: * It did not take long after plugging to cool. So far entire fridge is cooling great! * Plenty of storage including on the door itself which I find a big roomer than my last fridge. * Upgrade from last unit is clear deli drawer and bottom crispers (for fruits veggies). * Glass shelves easier to clean. One note: guide mentions do not use warm damp cloth when cleaning a cold fridge as the glass shelves can crack. Follow directions and will be ok :) * The freezer has adjustable shelves. Since the air vent is on the top, I kept the shelf on the lower slot to help keep the vents clear. Still have enough space for home needs. * It makes the usual noises for the unit to work. On this unit, I find it much quieter than my previous one. * Beautiful texture on outside of refrigerator (purchased white). Cons: * Since I left it on while cleaning before use, by the time I was done, the lights in the fridge slightly dimmer than when received. TIP: When cleaning the refrigerator prior to use, keep it unplugged. Even slightly dimmer, still adequate lighting; will continue using as is. No light bulb so light has to be professionally maintained by an authorized provider, especially to help keep the warranty valid. * Proposition 65 Warning: [may cause cancer and reproductive harm.] Would like to know specifically which part of the product may cause this harm. Would prefer an appliance without such materials on products which are getting much harder to find. Also, more ease to find safer products. Overall, so far, a month after delivery of the fridge, the refrigerator is working great. I recommend this product.

Great counter depth fridge, light hum
I have literally thought about what type of fridge I would get to replace my old fridge for at least 5 years. 5 years ago my ice maker went out on my old fridge, but I'm frugal and did not want to replace a perfectly good working fridge when I could fill up ice trays BUT I started researching fridges way back then. From my research I concluded GE had the most narrow counter depth fridges, that was a priority for me due to my kitchen configuration. The features I was looking for in order was: narrow counter depth, ice maker, water dispenser, stainless steel (appearance) that would not leave finger prints and a bonus if it would let magnets stick to the front. This fridge has all of that. I WFH during the day and the house is very quite (like church mass quiet) the fridge does cycle through a hum period, I'm not sure why. However, now college kids are home for the holiday's and since they came home I have not once noticed the hum. It's only when I am completely alone. More on the features, the water dispenser flow is very good. The ice maker is also very good. The fridge is smaller than my old side-by-side 36" deep fridge, but I actually really love that food doesn't get lost in the back of the fridge and I really love that the new fridge is flush with my cabinets the fridge and cabinets are 28" the fridge doors add a couple of inches to the fridge depth which is fine. Inside the drawer handles are on the bottom of the drawers and my husband and I keep trying to open them from the top, I'm sure we will adjust and get used to the bottom. The freezer on the bottom doesn't hold too much but it doesn't matter for me mainly because I have a deep freezer and a second fridge and freezer from the 1990's in the laundry room that has no bells and whistles but just keeps chugging along. When all of the kids are really gone and not just in college I could see getting rid of my second fridge/freezer but probably not the deep freezer just because this freezer is small. There is an alarm that tells you when you accidently left a door open which is really useful because I seem to do that more now. My old side by side gained momentum as the door closed, this fridge does not and you need to intentionally close it, which I am already adjusting too. If you are trying to decide between and side-by-side or this model I would just say they are different. I do like that I never have to bend down to get food, its all right in front of me, I like that.

Space is an issue.
Overall, after 2 months of using, it keeps the food that is supposed to be cold, cold and the food that is supposed to be frozen, frozen. That's a good thing! I researched refrigerators via consumer reports before purchasing. I was surprised to see GE as the most reliable brand because having owned GE appliances in the past, including two refrigerators my experience did not lead me to think GE was reliable. I asked our appliance repair person (oh yeah... I had a "guy") and he agreed that GE had cleaned up their act and the appliances were really not breaking down quite as often. So... I put GE in for consideration. After reliability/performance, the next most important thing to me was finding one that would fit in my kitchen best. Our old fridge was one of the biggest consumer refrigerator available. It was selected by the previous owner of our home. I hated it. It took up too much space, crowded a door and I felt like I kept losing food in the back of it. So I knew I wanted a french door counter depth fridge that was less than 33" wide. This fits this need. I ordered the fridge online. I was not able to see the fridge in person first. I tried a couple appliance stores and no one carried the counter depth in store. I looked at similar refrigerators to try to picture it, but was not able to see this exact model. Upon receipt of the fridge, I was SO HAPPY with the refrigerator portion. It was clean, bright, lots of shelves and doors to organize food. However, I was SHOCKED at how small the freezer was. I expected it to be smaller, but holy cow is it small! After using the fridge for a couple months, I realize there is A LOT of wasted space in this refrigerator. There are large gaps between the drawer and the outside of the freezer walls. If the drawer could be designed to fit the outer walls better, there would be so much more room to store food in the freezer. There is also A LOT of wasted space in the refrigerator!! There is at least 3" between the end of the shelving and the outside of the bins in the door. Again, there would be so much more room to store food if the shelving would extend even 2 more inches! Don't get me started on the wasted space between the fruit/veggie drawers. I have back-up cheese stored in between them. That's how much space is wasted there too. I am finding it hard to fit even a week's worth of food for a family of four in this refrigerator. We eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and the crisper drawers are super small and shallow. I used a 1/3 of the shelf space for fruit/veggie overflow. HEY GE! I would love to be on a focus group that would help you design your fridge better!!!! Moms don't need bells and whistles... WE NEED SPACE! At least moms who actually cook and prepare food for their family do... Even though the usable space in this appliance is disappointing, it doesn't freeze my vegetables, the water line works, it doesn't crowd our door/room and it has nice bright lights. So I'm happy with the purchase. It is better than our previous GE Profile refrigerator so far. That is good. I'm hoping the reliability rating reveals itself to be future truth! That would be even better. My daughter just came down and saw my typed review and reminded me that we do not like the ledge on the top of the fridge. The refrigerator is designed so that the electronics on top of the refrigerator body. So the front third of the top of the fridge is raised about 2" higher than the back half. This makes it hard to put items (like a cookie jar) on top of the fridge. if you put items too near the front, they fall off when the fridge opens. If you push items back too far then they tip and could possibly fall off because of the uneven surface. I have only used this for 2 months. At this time, I would recommend it to a friend while being honest about the shortcomings. I would definitely invite her over to see it in person!

Looks and cools great.
I spent a lot of time on line researching frigs.and looking at them in person at various stores. My daughter has a regular depth one and likes it. We like it fine. It was replacing a 20+year old side by side. Like very much how everything is reach level when you open the doors. Took some time to get use to a counter depth but like the difference it makes in the space in the Kitchen. The freezer holds a decent amount although we have a separate freezer so I don't need it for long term storage. I do like the oversized shelves on the right door. They will not quite hold 2 gallons of milk but do give extra space for some tall things. Really like that both of the large shelves come with a liner that can be removed and washed. The drop down shelf on the right door is really not useful. Pics below. When u have it down basically the next shelf can only be used for very short items. Wish the dairy keeper door stayed open by itself and the bins are pretty small if you have a keep a lot of produce or fruit on hand and a full celery will not fit in the bin so I just put it in the long drawer It is just the 2 of us so we are adjusting. It cools great without freezing anything and keeps an even temp. We definitely did not want a frig with the ice maker on the top shelf taking up space so we like the one in the door. while still having shelves to place small items. Reading some of the reviews I was very concerned with the ice maker as we use a lot and we were prepared to install the extra ice maker if needed but it has never run out and works great. There is a small dent in the left door at the top as some reviews talk about. Not so much a dent but more of a concave spot. You don't really notice it except the reflection is not straight as it is on the other door. My other daughter had just bought this exact same frig only standard depth and hers has the same thing. If you are looking at this frig in person just check the left door and know this might happen. Someone said it is from the way they come packaged from the manufacturer. All in all we are very pleased with the GE frig so far. You really only notice it because the reflection of light is a little wavy on that side and the other door reflection is straight. Not worth replacing it for. I was also surprised to find that the front can hold magnets as well as the side. I probably won't use it for that as I don't want to scratch it but good to kn

Confident this was a good decision
We have a galley style kitchen and had to have a cabinet depth white refrigerator. This replaced a GE profile that was 22 years old and still working. We have had this new one for about 4 months now and no issues. The unit is very quiet and holds a surprising amount of food. I only have a couple of minor complaints. I am not crazy about the single light inside the unit. It is quite large and right in the middle of the top of the unit. This light is blocked to the lower shelves if anything is placed on the upper shelf. A better design would have been to place the light along the sides or multiple lights at the rear of the shelves. Second issue is that when I purchased the unit I felt compelled to buy the extended warranty from the seller. I was leery of this since they do not have an in house service department and would have to sublet any repairs. There are tons of reviews out there for ANY model of refrigerator that have horror stories of major repairs that were needed soon after purchase. Based on this I purchased the extended warranty but was disappointed to get a offer to purchase an extended warranty directly from GE about a month after purchase. I would have much preferred to buy the warranty from GE but I didn't find out about it until it was too late. Fortunately the unit has had no issues and feel confident this was a good purchase. It was not cheap but for us it was worth the money.

High Design, Strong Performance, Incredibly Quiet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are a lot of things I like about this refrigerator. It's about the best you can find in a free-standing fridge, before stepping up to a built-in fridge that will cost 2-3x more. As a side note, I wish there were options between free-standing and built-in fridge price points. The interior design reminds me a lot of built-in refrigerator. Everything is easy to see and get to -- Bosch avoids using curvy or bulbous shapes, and instead uses clean flat surfaces throughout. There is a lot of transparent acryllic plastic and glass used, making everything easy to see. Most other fridges use a lot more white plastic, which hides contents and blocks light. The construction & most hardware is a step up, especially compared to Whirlpool and GE brands. The two crisper drawers use full extension, ball-bearing slides, rather than nylon wheels; this allows the drawers to open smoothly and fully. The freezer drawer is soft-closing and will draw itself closed, much like high-end Blum hardware on kitchen cabinets. I have the black stainless version, and the look is stunning. Many friends have commented on how nice the fridge looks. The finish is unusally bold, with a noticeable grain to the steel. It seems much more durable than other black stainless finishes. The color looks great with my cherry cabinets. I really love the clean look of the front of the fridge, without the distracting door dispenser and associated displays, lights and buttons. The minimalism aesthetic is well executed, and makes the fridge look premium. You never see built-in fridges with in-door ice/water dispensers, it cheapens the look. Again, I'm glad Bosch decided to emulate a built-in design. The last bit of built-in design that Bosch borrowed is the height. At 72 inches tall, it's only about 2-3 inches taller than most other fridges, but that extra few inches makes the fridge seem a lot more spacious, and from the outside it looks more substantial. The cripser drawers and the included ethylene filter (part of the "Farm Fresh" system) do seem to keep produce noticeably fresher for longer. I like that the two drawers can be set indivdually for temperature. The deli drawer is not adjustable, but I found it keeps the environment at a suitable temperature and humidity for meats and cheeses. The only real design miss is in the French door hinges. As many other reviews have stated, the right door does not close easily on its own, because it needs a extra little push for the mullion flap to flip to the closed position. I'm really surprised that Bosch messed this up, considering they have powered door closer motors on their high end Thermador line, so clearly they know how to over-design a door hinge. This flaw is the reason I knocked one star off my review. I hope Bosch will address this in an update to this product. My previous fridge had an in-door ice and water dispenser, and although I miss the conveniece, the truth is that the interior ice and water dispenser is far superior. The ice machine can make and hold a fantastic amount of ice, and it does so very quickly. I've found it can completely fill the ice drawer in about 48 hours. That wasn't the case with my previous fridge -- with its compact space saver icemaker in the door, it barely could keep up with a family of two. It's a minor detail, but even the included ice scoop is well-designed. The pyramid-shaped ice produced by the ice maker is aesthetically more pleasing than the crescent-shape produced by most other manufacturer's designs. This fridge is unbelievably quiet - I have yet to hear the compressors or fans running under any conditions. Actually, I haven't heard anything at all from this fridge, with the exception of a fresh batch of ice dropping into the bin. Bosch did an amazing job with controlling noise. Despite the lack of noise, this fridge does very well keeping the contents cold, and I've not noticed any fluctuations in temperature. The dual compressor design (this is the only free-standing fridge with dual compressors) is likely to thank for its strong yet quiet performance. I really hope this refrigerator holds up. The initial design impresses, but hopefully Bosch was equally thoughful in the design & robustness of the sealed system and other mechanical parts. The included warranty is just OK (1 year full warranty, 5 year parts-only warranty), and the extended warranty, which really just extends the labor warranty, is quite expensive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Bosch refrigerator, based on my experience so far.
