Dishwasher works as expected. Install was quick...the installers removed the old unit and installed this one in under 30 minutes. For larger kitchen utensils (spatulas, tongs, big spoons, etc) you have to lay them flat in the upper shelf since the spray bar will get tied up on the utensils if you have them in the silverware holder. It does have a removable debris catcher which is nice compared to other units. Yes, it comes with a sanitizer but it DOES NOT COME with a drying feature. Notice I said it does not come with a drying feature. Stop whining that it does not dry your plates...do research on what you purchase before you buy it. Besides, I never use the drying feature because most, if not all, dishwashers are not energy efficient when it comes to drying. Also, the unit is quiet...my family room and kitchen are connected and running the dishwasher during TV time is not affected. Overall, I am happy with the dishwasher.

I have always counted on GE for all my kitchen appliances and have never been disappointed until now. Because of the height of my kitchen counter, I require an ADA compliant dishwasher. I just had to say goodbye to my GE ADA dishwasher GLDT690DWW-00. It was everything I could have wanted in a dishwasher. This new dishwasher is very quiet, is roomier than my last model, and does an excellent job washing and drying the dishes. However, unlike the last one, I find the bottom rack extremely difficult to load. It will not hold 9"x13" baking dishes, my roasting pan, or more than one saucepan. It seems to be designed only for dishes and silverware. I don't like having to wash so many large items by hand. I feel the silverware basket takes up too much room and it is only held in place by the weight of the contents when loaded. In my opinion, it could have been positioned better.

This countertop dishwasher has been on my wish list for years now. I have done a ton of research, and have not found anything remotely similar in terms of functionality and convenience, not to mention looks, so I have been watching it like a hawk. Finally, I bit the bullet, with a little help from Affirm. Wayfair's financing offers are always good, and this time they didn't disappoint (not that they ever have). My package arrived promptly and --voilà! My dream dishwasher! The box is intimidatingly large, but that's mostly due to excellent packaging. The dishwasher itself is surprisingly small and light (41 pounds), and it takes surprisingly little room on my countertop, yet it packs a punch in terms of both looks and functionality. After a quick look at the enclosed manual, it's plug and play. It is also surprisingly capacious, given its tiny size; it can take me a couple of days to fill it up. One of the reasons I chose this particular dishwasher was the fact that it does not need hookups (though you can hook it up if that's your desire). The drain hose goes in my sink, and I use the (included) pitcher to fill out the tank. A simple icon and a beep lets you know it needs water, and a few beeps and the disappearance of said icon inform you that the tank is full. The cycles are all listed on the console, so it's a matter of pressing the one you need, and you're good to go. It is also (supposedly) energy efficient. I can't still attest to that, but you will definitely use a LOT less water. It also makes very little noise. I have only used the regular cycle, without the additional air refresh feature, and I always end up with sparkling AND dry dishes/glasses/silverware. For the needs of one or two people with a small kitchen, it is convenience itself. I can safely say that, so far, it has exceeded expectations. This sleek little beast is DEFINITELY my dream dishwasher. ETA: I have had this little appliance for two years now, and I am happy to report that it is still a lifesaver.

This won't get installed until next week, so I have no idea how well it works. However, shipping was prompt and the dishwasher was packed exceptionally well. Even with damage to the outside box, the inside packing was fine. I will have to give an updated review once it is installed. Update. Installed. Pros: I love having an 18 inch dishwasher vs. 24 inch. For the 2 of us, it is perfect. Seems to do a good job of washing. Cons. This dishwasher is loud! Compared to our 6 year old Samsung, this thing is really loud and vibrates the floor. It is super light weight so I don't expect it to last past the warranty. You must go on line to get the installation instructions and those were terrible. We finally watch a youtube video on generally installing a dishwasher. It does not come with everything needed. You will need wiring and the flexible water hose.

Replaced by old 497 with the 621. The new one cleans far better and it is *much* quieter. Generally, the dishwasher is quieter that the TV. I use Correlleware (dishes/plates/coffee cups/mugs). I have been using it 30+yrs. The coffee cups/mugs are the 9-oz size, but the physical height is virtually the same as many other cups/mugs made by many companies. There is an issue with the design of the dishrack that needs to be addressed. It involves the left-side flip-down shelves. The wide gap between the middle and lower bars is readily visible when looking at the rack online on this site. The 12" plates will not fit this dishwasher. I mostly use the mid-size and small plates. They fit fine. The silverware basket tends to fall over if loaded/filled from the back. Start at the middle holes (by the handle) and fill to the front first, then fill the back. Or fill front and back equally so the back does not get overweight with silverware and tips. What I see as the problem: There are two flip-down shelves on the left side. At the bottom position, they are too low to allow the 9-oz coffee cups/mugs to be under them (they fit in the 497). If placed at the next-higher position, the various different coffee cups/mugs I tested ALL hit the door opening when I tried to roll it into the dishwasher. The only coffee cup that did not hit was a short standard coffee cup that comes with a saucer. Moving the middle bar slightly lower would permit 8 or 9 standard-sized 9-oz coffee mugs to fit (4-5 on the lower level, 4 on the top). I was able to fit a 20-oz casserole onto that shelf (the bottom on one shelf and the top on the other). I generally remove those shelves unless I need to run one of those casseroles through the dishwasher. The 621 uses the same connectors and water hoses as the 497.

Being disabled and not able to stand for long periods of time I was greatful to find this dishwasher. While I struggled with getting it hooked up properly as the quick disconnect adapter didnt actually work with my faucet. I decided to hook it up direct to my plumbing instead and what an IMPOSSIBLE task as the fittings are metric and nothing In my house nor sold at the local hardware stores would allow me to convert and hook it up direct. So finally out of desperation I ended up purchasing a new faucet that actually fits the quick disconnect adapter. My neighbor had my faucet swapped out and my dishwasher was up and running within 20 minutes. I had purposefully let dishes stack up for a few days and not pre-rinsed them which is a pet peeve of mine, but I wanted to get a feel for how good of a job the dishwasher actually does. Under the normal cycle, and using Cascade Platinum dish packs and rinse aid my first load of dishes came out spotless. I love my new dishwasher and have used it pretty much continually since it was hooked up and everything comes out spotless. I plan on getting another for my RV. I would highly recommend this dishwasher.
