The bench arrived quickly, and the packaging was undamaged. Pieces of wood were wrapped securely when the box was opened. It took less than a half hour to put together. Stand back and admire. The wood is absolutely gorgeous. I thought it was going to be a lighter grain. However, not disappointed at all. This is actually a darker grain and my preference for wood. The bench is solid, sturdy, heavy, and level. We live in the Northeast, and our ground is still muddy from winter thaw and April showers. We will wait till the ground dries up before placing the bench outside. Have to say this bench exceeded mine and my husbands expectations. There was a big crack in one of the legs. We tried to fix with wood glue and a clamp, but after being bolted to the table the crack opened again. Just seems to have affected the aesthetics, not the structure--which is rock solid with solid, heavy wood. Thiese are beautiful chairs! We had an issue with one, the screw packet was missing. We waited over six months for a replacement packet to be sent out.
