This rod is perfect! I needed a tension rod for a 73 in opening (doorway). This rod is nice and tight! I am having lots of company and needed to give this room privacy as a sleep area. This rod blends with the doorway trim, unoticeably. I bought some lightweight drapes for it. If you are using these at their shorter length, they will probably support well. When fully extended (I got the 48 inch max), they are pretty flimsy, so only hang very lighteight curtains from them.
