I love the colors and pattern of this rug! I have looked at too many rugs trying to find the right color and pattern for our new living room. After reading the reviews, I decided to go for this one. I love that it has a floral pattern but doesn’t scream any particular theme. It’s very subtle in the style which is just what I hoped for. The colors are bright enough that I do have to consider other decor elements, as you can see my couch doesn’t quite match but I’m ok with that for a while. One small gripe is that in some areas there is a patch of faded brown that at a first glance can look like a stain but it’s just the color in the area of the rug combined with the worn effect. Last pic shows example of this spot. I would recommend getting a pad to go underneath bc it does slide a bit and is thin. We have a dog and little girl so I wanted a rug I could easily clean and pull outside for a hose off if needed. An additional pad makes it squishy enough to sit on and play for a little while and prevents it from moving around. It vacuums very nicely too without showing vacuum cleaner lines. This might not be the rug for you if you are looking for something plush to sink your feet into or if you’re not a fan of blue. Overall I really like the rug and even though I was extremely nervous ordering without being able to see it in person, I’m glad I took a chance :) I’m looking forward to seeing how it holds up over time.. I am happy with the quality of this area rug and it is true to the photos. However I would not describe it as purplegray. The colors are sort of indigo blue, beige and coral. That said it does read more purple in my dining room. The low pile allows for chairs to slide over it easily when getting in or out of the chairs. Was surprised to read it is machine washable.
