This is a handcrafted hollow fireplace mantel. Our mantels are hand-made with love and passion. These mantels are as beautiful as they are useful, robust, light, and elegant. The distressed look is achieved by hand with attention to detail. As a result, no two beams are the same and your beam will be one-of-a-kind. Dimensions may vary slightly from selected, due to the nature of the wood and the time effect on it. We use pine boards for our distressed mantels. The final product might appear a bit lighter or darker because of the lighting and nature of the wood.

For use indoors or out, this live edged ASTM E136 non-combustible mantel shelf was replicated from a Pine wood beam found nestled in the woods near some old barns. Although its origin is unknown, its character is very much alive with its history. Saw marks, bark remnants, insect life, weathering and natural beauty are all meticulously captured and preserved by a patented molding material and then lovingly hand painted and finished. Made in the USA, this shelf has an 8 inch depth allowing for ample room on top for personal affects. Due to the natural imperfections captured from the reclaimed wood, the top of the mantel shelf will have natural offsets and depressions, versus a flush top, and the dimensions will vary slightly, i.e. shelf height and depth will be marginally different across the entire mantel. 6”H x 8”D 110lbs. When mounting your mantel, adhere to “clearances to combustibles” specifications of your fireplace insert or stove.

This beam is constructed out of ¾” thick Aspen wood and is 6 1/2" tall. You choose the length and depth. Each piece of wood is unique and will have more or less character/knots than the other. It is designed to look like a solid beam without weight. The distressed beams are painted either black or white and have the edges sanded over and a brown stain/wax applied for a distressed look. The distressed beams will not be a solid color. Easy to install utilizing a French cleat mounting bracket which is included. Screws are not included. You will need to purchase 3" screws for the application you will be attaching the bracket to. Wood is considered a combustible material. Heat clearances must be adhered to. If installing over a fireplace, check your local building codes and the manufacturer's instructions for your specific fireplace insert or stove.

My husband discovers all boxes have pieces that go with each aspect of the unit so we would not have room in our living room for assembly. While moving box one down the stairs leading into the garage, my husband pulled his back out. The box landed safely. My daughter and I managed to get to the kitchen. The final product might appear a bit lighter or darker because of the lighting and nature of the wood.

The color was just like the picture and turned out wonderful! It was really good quality and no chips or cracks. It shipped in one large package too which was nice and assembly was easy! It turned out really good. We ordered the 84" Provincial mantel and loved it! It was the perfect size and the exact measurement. Please don't mind the cords we still have to fix since installing it!.
