About five minutes into putting this mattress protector on the bed my toddler split food on it. Thankfully, it wiped off easily with no damage to the mattress below. I really wanted to give this mattress pad a 5 star review. It fluffed up nicely after washing, stays in place on the mattress, and provides a significant amount of softness to my bed. I took a star away because the cover came with two small rips in it. This is a really nice waterproof mattress pad! It is not plasticky feeling and it doesnt sound like swishy when you sit on it or move around on the bed.
