We had 2 similar items when we lived in VA and thought they were fantastic. So when I saw them on Wayfair at a reasonable price I ordered 2. Price was much better than other places. So I put one together and installed it. The cardboard template was very awkward to use, I simply used a measuring tape when I installed the second one. Back to the first. Got it installed, when winding up the cable tends to run over on itself so my solution was to load it up with 4 cases of water while it was on the floor and slowly crank it up. Every couple of turns I would go up the ladder and straighten the cables so they laid flat next to each other. Got it up to the ceiling and left it there for 3 days so the cables would get a"set". Cranked it down, took the water off and put the items to be stored on it. Went up nice and smooth, cables straight. Unpacking the second one was also straight forward but I noticed that except for one item all the zip ties had been cut and were laying there loose. When I got to the hardware bags every one of them had been cut open and a piece of tape fitted over to seal them. One bracket had the nuts screwed on it. I'm thinking that possibly this had been a returned item. All the parts were there, there were no scratches or anything and it looked in as good a shape as the first one. Cheap quality, poorly made. Paint is chipped & falling off upon arrival. It says it holds 350lbs but I have less than 200 on it and the cheap wire panels that connect with zip ties are heavily bending. It’s also impossible to get the 4 wire cables to wind up equally/level, so it raises and lowers crooked. Hanging was not the usual flat ceiling, i hung it on a vaulted ceiling in my garage, had to make a pitched board to compensate for this. Worked out well.
