This TV stand is an attractive piece of furniture with a quality wood finish. My seventeen year old assembled it by himself in about half an hour and found the instructions easy to follow. It took me a long time measuring and looking for the perfect piece to fit a small area of our house without making it look cheap or too much like a dorm. I’m so glad I chose this one! My son and I put this TV stand together fairly easily. It took 35 minutes and required no tools except for a Phillips head screwdriver for the anti-tip restraint. It was a little tricky getting the sides attached, but one has only to slide up from the wide part to the narrow part to lock the sides into place at the top and bottom. It was a little tricky keeping the sides open for those portions where we needed them open to connect the sections. The top is heavy and it is overall quite sturdy. The wood has a pleasant smell and the doors are a nice touch. The black wood grain is elegant and the finish is shiny.
