Adjust the brew strength with the slide on the front of the machine, for a stronger-tasting tea slide the lever to the right. Serve iced tea directly from the pitcher that can also be stored in the refrigerator after brewing. A recipe book with 18 delicious recipes is included, with more recipes. The Capresso 2.5 qt. Glass Electric Tea Kettle is also perfect for iced coffee beverages, however, it is recommended to use a separate filter for coffee so there is no flavor transfer. heats up using the minimum water level, when heating water for a cup of hot tea. I was using a Pyrex glass measuring cup to heat one cup of water in the mornings in my microwave and it would take almost 5 minutes to begin boiling. I like my hot water fairy hot so really excited that now it takes a minute to two minutes at the most. This was a great purchase and priced very reasonable. Honestly, some people should not be allowed to write reviews if they don’t understand how to use the simplest of products!! My first kettle is 20 years old and I only bought a new one because I changed my kitchen color scheme. Over the years that kettle heated water on gas, electric, and wood stoves with never a problem .
