This rug has a great summer/beachy vibe. I plan to move it to my front step as soon as the weather warms up a little more. The double stripe border elevates the casual variegated pattern. It's well made, some rugs I've bought at a similar price point had loose stitching on corners, but this rug is nicely finished all around. We got this rug a couple weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I was a little apprehensive about A. Durability since we have dogs and this is in a high traffic room and B. How soft it would be on bare feet. First of all the rug is absolutely beautiful, classic and modern. It had a very earthy smell when I took it out of the packaging that lasted a few days but wasn't unpleasant. All the edges laid flat so no issues there. I haven't noticed any shedding or dirt near the rug. Regarding my concern about durability...there are a couple knots that have come up but I've tucked them back in easily. I did buy plastic sliders for my coffee table so that the legs wouldn't snag anything when we move the table around. I would suggest doing the same if you like to move your table around like we do. I have found a couple stray sticks sticking out - I just pulled them out. I guess thats to be expected from a natural rug. Regarding softness, the first thing my husband said when he walked barefoot on the rug was, "It's so soft!". I walk barefoot on this rug everyday and do not think it is rough or unpleasant. Very pretty rug overall. However, the sides of the carpet are now coming up from the floor after being laid flat for a couple of weeks. I tried carpet tape and even got a rubber mat for under the carpet, but the material keeps popping up in different areas. I also noticed dark grey stains on both the light and dark sides of the rug that won’t go away. Donating this rug and hopefully the new one doesn’t have any issues. I needed a square rug for my kitchen table area but had a hard time deciding on one due to the space and colors I was working with. After many searches and reviews read, I decided on this one in the 6.7” square size. The rug came as described - correct size, colors, and texture - rolled up and wrapped tightly. There was no excessive folds, I just kept heavy objects on the edges to flatten them out and the couple wrinkles that were present have already gone away.
