We had to return it, and a full replacement shipment was sent, which delayed everything, including our assembly (which, of course, we still had to pay for). The new shipment did arrive with all the parts, but we also noticed some chipping and damage on the side. At that point, we decided to keep it because we were tired of going back and forth. This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. I used a soft upholstry fabric and also laid batting on the broad surfaces. The mechanism works great and does not shut unless you pull it down. Great bed frame. Very solid. The drawers are good size - our old bed only had two small drawers at foot end of frame. The frame is a little high but okay - not too high (our mattress is 12” thick).
