These lights are as described, tall and made of metal. The only ones I have had are the solar plastic ones that didn’t last long at all. I thought these were solar but due to my fault and not reading the description like I should have, I need a transformer and an electrician to install them for me. I read the instructions and installation is easy but due to the electrical part, I want a certified electrician to do this. They will be beautiful at night lighting up my sidewalk. I can barely wait. The lights light our pathway very nicely. The fixtures were easy to install, however I did not use the connectors that were supplied, they were not the best quality. Please make sure it can be exposed to direct sunlight. Insert it into soft soil or dig a hole for it in advance. We recommend keeping the solar panel clean always. They are IP65 waterproof so they can withstand rain, but they cannot be put into water for a long time, please don't lay them in a low-lay area to avoid soaking in water.
