The directions were clear and easy to follow, but it did take quite a while to put together. It's absolutely necessary to have 2 people put it together, especially when connecting the top section of the hutch to the side shelves and when lifting it up from the laying position. I was able to put it together by myself up until that point, then I needed a second set of hands. It holds a lot of items and is very sturdy. Love these shelves. Great quality as everyone says. The problem I had was the assembly. I purchased the full assembly (taking out of boxes and fully assembly and removing boxes). Wayfair partners with Angi List and unfortunately the service was problematic. First they note this is a two person job and only one person came. They couldn’t help with anything because they didn’t bring a ladder or right tools. I ended up taking the shelves out of the boxes which took about 45 mins per box because you literally have to cut the shelves out if you keep them standing up. I also hauled away all the packaging. Then I rescheduled another contractor to anchor to wall and install the ladder. Again, only one person came without a ladder. He managed to use a stool I had to anchor things and helped drill an extra hole in shelf for ladder since I needed to rearrange shelves differently and the ladder rail wouldn’t fit. Overall it all came together nicely but did not appreciate leaving the assembly to a second party that was not reliable and there was no customer service to speak to, everything was AI and very frustrating. to. Wayfair had the best price in town on these garage cabinets. They came almost fully assembled. The only thing I had to do was put the legs on the bottom in the shelves inside. I was so skeptical about purchasing this bed because of the price point. It was a really good price. And I was worried that it was going to be cheaply made or pieces broken when we got it, or it wouldn’t fit together the way it’s supposed to. It took my Handyman about eight hours to put it together. Did have to modify the wall anchoring given the brick wall anchors that are provided. The front panel has more space between the shelving on one side (everything reads level, and the bottom of the front panel has even spacing). I did notice other review photos have the same problem.
