As other reviewers have stated, this is a very heavy and solid table. Thankful our delivery guys brought this right to the front door. It took my husband and I to bring it in, but we didn't have a problem putting it together. The color is is white with light gray and dark gray brushstrokes on it. It was a little more gray than I thought it would be, but it paired really well with the Atrakchi Teak Patio Dining Chairs and Kiley Wingback Arm Chairs we purchased. The wood is very smooth textured and so far we haven't had any issues. Also, we haven't put in the insert yet, so I can't speak to how difficult or easy that will be. This table AMAZES me! I bought it for myself prior to the completion of our home. Unfortunately. the tabletop color clashed with my floor color so I gave it to my son. It looks great in their house! I once went to their home and thought it was ruined because there was a huge spot on it where something had spilled and dried. There was no doubt in my mind that it was damaged. But when I wiped it up, it looked like new again! I was AMAZED!!! Understated elegance, nuetral enough to blend with almost any decor, but unique to get notice, I have received a lot of compliments. Purchased matching end table and 2 round endtables with wooden tops. Probably will buy the console as well. Expensive to me, but worth it I think, as I plan to keep all for a very long time. A little color was rubbed off of a small part of the metal frame from the packing rubbing it at one spot, but fixed it in less than a minute with an acrylic gold paint pen, you would never be able to detect it now.
