Kichler 8112Ozledr Flush Mount Light

I needed 2 replacement flush mount lights for a long hallway. The original flush mount lights (installed when I built my house 1996) were approx 1 inch smaller diameter and were a square shape though had similar finish of dark bronze and smoky cover. Before I purchased these I had removed 1 of the lights and noticed there was a residue mark in the ceiling so knew I wanted a larger diameter to cover that old spot (as I didn't want to repaint the whole ceiling). Horizon 6.5" 3000K LED Downlight with Polycarbonate White Diffuser in White Finish. This commercial grade downlight is ideal for new construction when specified with a 4" x 2 1/8" square or octagonal J box. It is also conveniently UL Listed for wet conditions only indoor wet locations such as above a shower. For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. Great product for the price. The LEDs make it easy to change colors. Easy to install. This is the 10" and we could have gone a little bigger for the space. Had we gone with the 13" we wouldn't have to touch up paint around it, but I also like that they aren't that noticeable and something bigger might have been too obtrusive as this is just a small rectangle between multiple rooms.
