This is the first evaporative cooler I’ve ever own and there’s good and bad new about it. I bought this cooler for the garage I live out here in Las Vegas where it reaches temperatures of up to 110 degrees and the garage gets very hot during the summer. The bad new is the cooler has an option to install a purge pump which I think should be added to unit for it to run efficiently and not have to worry about running water down the drain Or down the street. The purge pump allows you to set purging schedules and save water. It’s an additional 75 bucks for the option. When the temperature is 110 degrees outside the lowest I can cool the garage is 80 degrees plus you have to have a door or a window open or the unit will not work. On the other hand any time the temperature drops under 100 degrees the garage cools down to 70 degrees fills a lot cooler. So after I purchased the purge pump and installed it, I was happier.
