I am purging all my old flatware, so I wanted to get some new sets. I have been seeing flatware that looks like this with the long stem and modern look (and very rounded spoons) in gold or rose gold - there are about half a dozen companies I've seen on social media with these - and I've been really wanting them for a while. My husband hates them, so I can say that people probably either love these or hate them. I LOVE them. Like I said, I've really been wanting a set that looks like this for a while so I am very happy with them. They look beautiful and have a really nice solid weight to them so they both look and feel expensive and fancy! To be honest, they are probably a little bit on the expensive side if you ask me, but they are comparable or cheaper than some of the alternative brands I see online elsewhere. The one slight complaint I would have is that the finish of the metal has a weird mouth-feel. I think that sounds odd but it's hard to describe. It's like a stronger metallic taste than other flatware due to the finish or coat that's on it which I'm not crazy about, obviously, if I'm trying to eat food and not taste the utensil.... maybe I'm just being sensitive and most people might not notice it, but I would definitely take this into consideration if you're picky about stuff like that.. Well, I wasn't as happy with this set as I thought I would be. We've had it for a little while now. We were looking for a set that my husband approved of. He wanted something that fit his hand better and felt sturdy. Well, I can say we got that. They are STURDY. The hulk himself couldn't bend these suckers. My husband really loves the way they feel in his hands. The large fork and spoon are that... LARGE. When I use the large spoon I almost feel like I'm eating with the serving spoon from my old set. Its big. They do feel nice in the hand, tho. Have to say. Now, the small fork and spoon are almost too small. Its like they skipped a size in between. When you put them side by side its like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito standing next to each other. Its a bit extreme. The shine was very nice, however, they do spot. They have even gotten these rust like spots on them already that even a rinse-aid seems to have trouble with. I have to polish them by hand a bit to get them to look nice. After all the shopping we did for silverware I wish I had searched a little bit more and NOT purchased this set. If I had known there was going to be such extremes in the sizing I would not have purchased!!! My husband is happier with the set than I am. He does think the sizing difference is funny. And the spotting issue frustrates him a little. But overall, its a good set for men with larger hands. As long as they don't need to use the little fork LOL (I have attached pics of the spoons for size referencing. As you can see the little spoon is the same size as a small, plastic spoon. Same for the fork. The knives show the spotting issue). Sabrina. Broken Arrow, OK. 2020-06-06 20:19:40
