Wayfair Customer Service rocks -- they are sending a replacement for this basically useless piece of junk -- which, hopefully, won't have the same defective welding. Most of the plates you had to put the welded threaded pieces through to attach the wire pieces for the planters were crooked and after putting this together and taking it apart (the directions were basically useless) two or three times, I finally, with the help of a rubber mallet and some 3-in-one oil, got it all assembled except for the next-to-the last threaded bolt that absolutely couldn't go into the appropriate hole no matter what (I'd decided to just zip-tie it together and paint the zip-tie black) Then I got to the final piece, the stabilizing lower center piece. The welded-on plates on the frame for the welded bolts to go through so they could be attached to stabilize the lower middle rack, unfortunately, were perpendicular to the frame and facing up instead of being parallel to the frame and there was no way to add the middle, lower plant rack to stabilize the plant stand. In my nearly 75 years I've put together a whole lot of stuff (furniture, book cases, assorted cabinets, etc.) by myself, and even with the aid of the lubricant and a rubber mallet and what little upper-arm strength I have left, there was no way this thing was going to go together. I'm awaiting another iteration, and sincerely hope someone else welded the parts together as I really want this thing to work! The attached photos have red and/or blue circles drawn around the main issues of this plant stand. Meanwhile, a glass of wine should help settle my frayed nerves! OK, round 2 ... the second one of these Wayfair sent me went together more easily (I did, after all, have a lot of practice). I did have to trade out one piece with the defective 1st version, but with a bit of tugging in a couple of instances this one works. So thank you Wayfair Customer service. The 2nd version actually had the brackets pointing in the right direction to attach the bottom middle stabilizing shelf to, not to mention the other parts all lined up after a tug or two. It's light weight, so I'll attach it to a 4 x 4 support on my deck just to make sure it stays put when the wind kicks up.. Janet. Morristown, TN. 2021-05-06 21:11:32
