A classic primary color palette and adorable sea-inspired accents complete this cute nursery.

I'm so excited to share my new baby's cheery blue and yellow nautical nursery! I started this nursery gender neutral, since we didn't find out what we were having. But once I knew our baby was a boy I went a little heavy on the blues and sailboats. I chose a classic red, blue, and yellow color palette to keep things traditional. I love the sunny yellow color of the crib; it brings lightness to the space. The red moses basket was a hand-me-down from a friend who found it at a consignment shop.

My husband and I DIY-ed this adorable shelf. The best party? It's super easy. I used a stair riser cut in half, so I didn't have to finish the front edge, and hemp rope from the hardware store. The rope is knotted under each hold in the shelf in place, so no gluing or nails or hardware required. It's hung on the wall with boat cleats drilled into studs to continue the nautical theme.

This oar clothes display doubles as artwork (especially when little nautical onesies are hung on it!) and is so easy to make! I purchased the oar at a marine consignment shop for $23 and then painted the chevrons onto the paddle. Small cup hooks screwed into the handle hold the clothes.

All of the bedding is vintage or handmade by the grandmas. The dresser and bed were in the room already from when it belonged to my son. And the rocker was my daughter's. Despite the fact that so many things from this room are re-used or recycled, I think it's special and fresh for my new baby.
