I had a lovely (but delicate) metal bedframe previously that had no additional supports aside from the four cornersfeet of the frame, so when my bf and I moved in together, I was constantly being jarred and shook by his every movement. 5 stars for the bed but unfortunately, the experience took much longer than it should have. Our first delivery arrived incomplete, with only two pieces of wood—more than half of the bed was missing. We had to return it, and a full replacement shipment was sent, which delayed everything, including our assembly (which, of course, we still had to pay for). The new shipment did arrive with all the parts, but we also noticed some chipping and damage on the side. At that point, we decided to keep it because we were tired of going back and forth. I was surprised with how well everything was packaged! The box was very heavy, I helped the delivery driver take it up the one flight of stairs to my apartment LOL. I love this bed. I am so glad I paid the extra bucks for the one I wanted. It is very heavy but I was able to assemble alone.
