Headboards

It was difficult to choose a headboard online without really seeing it and determining the quality of the product. After looking at what seemed to be hundreds of headboards we chose the Hillsdale Oak Tree headboard due to the way it looked in the pictures and the fact that it was real wood, not partical board. It is absolutely beautiful and goes with the other furniture in our guest room. We have a bit of a hodge-podge of furniture in the guest room due to two pieces coming from my wife's family. They are a very light ash wood and the dresser is a light cherry. The oak color of this headboard is in between and helps pull the colors together. The headboard itself goes very well with the rest of the furniture and is well made. We would highly recommend it. This headboard is a great value. I purchased the full/queen size and it fits my queen size bed just great. Although certainly not hierloom quality furniture, this is a very nicely designed and constructed headboard with true-to-form Mission styling in every detail, and looks fantastic. Well-engineered and made, it arrived with no defects or damage and it is easy to assemble - recommend having a rubber mallet and towel or other small pad, as some parts need to be tapped together. Probably easier for two to assemble, but one can and did do it. Comes w/ easy-to-follow instructions and all hardware was there. Looks just like in picture, perhaps w/ a slightly more cherry finish. This replaced an old, beautiful mahogany headboard when we purchase a queen bed. This queen headboard pales in comparison to the old one. but the price was right and it is an attractive piece. Because we have the headboard against a double window, the particle board back shows; that really is not the fault of the headboard. I'm going to stain it dark so it will not be so obvious.
