Headboards

I purchased the headboard for our masterbedroom in a king size. It has a dark finish more espresso than bronze but that is what I wanted and it is lovely. I was a little concerned during assembly because the legs of the headboard are about 1/4" off the floor with the bedframe I owned. Since the headboard was not against a wall I thought it might wobble but once the mattress was pushed up against the headboard, the headboard is stable enough to sit up against to read in bed. I will add a couple of shims for extra support under the headboard legs now that I have the bed in the right spot. This headboard had just the modern look to match my bedroom furnishings. Please note the assembly was a bit tricky. The assembly instructions are not sufficient. One of the screws had bad threads and I had to replace it, fortunately I had the same. You'll need to do some math before assembly in order to get the headboard attached to the uprights. Alternatively, you can pull the bed away from the wall so you make height adjustments after the headboard is installed. Since the uprights are to be attached first I needed to add the height of the box spring and mattress to know where to adjust the headboard's height so it sat just below the mattress when installed since I didn't want to see any of the wall. You'll be happier if you use a socket wrench on the nuts to attach the headboard, otherwise it's too hard to reach them with a wrench. Before you tighten the nuts, make sure the headboard is centered left to right on the bed frame as well. I'm an engineer so I managed, just a heads up. You'll notice a slight out gassing smell for a week or so but not too strong. Despite the assembly issues, it really is a very good value for a nice modern headboard!"..."  Read more

Because of the high ratings, I thought the leather would look and feel a little nicer in quality. However, for the price, it is still a pretty good deal and I am overall pleased with this purchase. This headboard is comfortable to rest against and I like how its masculine look balances the look of my more feminine sheets and duvet. The legs are lightweight, but rigid and sturdy. A word of caution: The bottom of the headboard fits perfectly with the top of my mattress when the headboard is adjusted at its lowest possible position. At the low position, the bottom of the headboard measures 21.5" from the floor. However, my platform bed frame is taller than most. Therefore, if you have a low platform bed with a regular mattress placed directly on the platform, this headboard would likely be too tall if installed with the legs since there would be a visible gap. However, in that case, you still have the option of mounting the headboard to the wall without the legs."..."  Read more

I love this headboard. It is very pretty, strong and sturdy. It was easy to put together by myself. It looks great with my existing medium dark brown wood furniture. I chose it to replace my large full/queen wood headboard which did not fit in the space in my new home. This one blends in very well with the other furniture and fits perfectly due to its smaller full size width and compact styling. It is exactly the width of a full size matress and does not extend out wider on each side like my old headboard did. The only thing that I was a little disappointed about is the color. It looks much darker than it did in the photos. I was expecting a more brown color. In the light in my home, it looks almost black with antique bronze accents. However, I still think it is beautiful and I am very happy with my purchase."..."  Read more
