This gate is perfect and has features I didn’t even know I needed! I originally bought a pet gate from another site, that just had the bars, and no plexiglass. Unfortunately, my cat kept trying to shove his face through, and I was worried about him hurting himself. The latch could also be opened if he were to jump up and pull down on it, and the gate had a lot of play in the middle, so it would wobble back and forth. I returned it and got this gate. It took care of all of the issues I had regarding the first one! No more fear of my cat trying to push his face through the bars, the latch is cat proof, and it is much more stable! I didn’t even have to add the bonus hardware half way up to add to the stability. I also love the added feature of the door swinging both ways, as it makes it easier to keep my cat back who tries to get out at times when I am coming through the gate. The only downside is the amount of space that it takes up when the gate is being left open which for us is 43” We have doors on both sides of the gates so if the gate is left open in either direction you slam into it with the door. Exactly what we were looking for to contain our cats during maintenance projects when our son visits with his dog. Easy to install with plenty of accessories to adapt to your space (hint you probably won’t use everything they provide - we didn’t need the extra hardware for a wider opening). Clearer installation instructions would have helped but we are very happy so far with the look and functionality of this doorgate (door swings both directions locks in place).. Laura Anne.
