edushape Textured Toy Blocks Set

I bought these blocks for my 15 month old grandson. He loves the feel of them. The textures are interesting and probably can be used for art rubbings when he is a little older. He is beginning to fit pieces together on a flat surface. I think when he is older he will appreciate them more.

These blocks are very nice and our daughter (10 mos) likes playing with them - chewing on them, holding them, giving them to us, picking them up and putting them in a different place. The only bad thing I can say about them is that they do smell strongly when first out of the box. I've had to wash them quite a few times (put them in the washing machine) and let them stay outside of the house for a couple of weeks to get the (I guess phtalates) smell out.

In general we prefer wood toys over other materials,but like this one because we don't have to watch her playing with it. We bought this Set and the one that looks like wood, because our toddler daughter likes to throw things once in a while. These blocks are nice to play with, safe and stack up easily for little fingers. And don't do harm to anything, including our floor low windows!
