This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. I used a soft upholstry fabric and also laid batting on the broad surfaces. The mechanism works great and does not shut unless you pull it down. It's not great quality, and it's a bit sketchy the way the slats lay on the center thing, but it works for our 9 year old son! They do NOT show up and cancel/reschedule 30 minutes before the appointment! How pathetic especially for the purchase and assembly of a bed you plan to sleep in that night. Will NEVER buy from Wayfair again and will most definitely NEVER EVER use Angi. Very sad and with several contacts with both Wayfair and Angi, no help other than just the refund of the original assembly cost even though we experienced additional cost, inconvenience and had to sleep on our mattress on the floor.
